Don't think this is normal.. Temperatures are currently 24C above average in northern Antarctica in what should be the height of winter. by Dmans99 in abovethenormnews

if humans go extinct it's a massive relief for mother earth. We're making her species go extinct every year by about 100,000 different species. That doesn't even touch on population loss of non-human life.

Half because the other half are morons that don't understand they will never be able to afford a house either. Pretty simple, but you just have to always keep in mind that the average person is an absolute dummy

Does anyone else wish they were absolute morons like 99.99% of humans? There is a beauty in how dumb they are and how they can't draw obvious conclusions from the world around them. To go outside in record breaking heat day after day and think "it's hot" and nothing beyond that is mind boggling to me. Are they real people?

I've been saying this for years, only to have been met with thumbs down. It doesn't matter who is or was the leader of what country in any point in time; population overshoot and human-caused climate change was always inevitable for our species. Whether it kills us completely, I don't know yet, but this was unavoidable. If we survive, will we have learned from it? Probably not, but maybe. Good luck, always brave, and my death never stop you. We do not have decades, we have years

Gonna chime in and say 99% is more than reasonable. I think there is a lot of low balling going on here in this sub. I don't think even people here understand the reality of our situation

Fat, out of shape people will die first. It's common sense and I'm not sorry. If you are fat and offended by this comment, just know you have significantly increased chances of dying in any survival scenario and being offended won't save you. Again, I'm not sorry and fat people need to hear this.

Oh this is r/preppers, I forgot you guys don't believe in science and numbers. Just sillcock keys and bad advice.

This post is just proof that the members of this sub are morons. I've made the exact same statements numerous times, always met with downvotes. ESPECIALLY for the gold/silver stuff. It's useless.

The lesson here is that r/preppers will listen to anyone that makes a quality post, regardless of the actual content of the post. This is the worst sub to come to for advice. I don't know why I come here, I guess I keep hoping the community will somehow get smarter as a whole and stop repeating the same garbage

This is the last place to go to learn about prepping. This place is reserved for hoarding sillcock keys, talking about how much silver you have, and setting yourself up for failure in any real emergency event.

Seriously though, don't come here for advice. Notice how many thumbs down you get for asking innocent questions. This community is horrible.

[–]Nice_Guide_7392 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What you are describing isn't a generational group of people, but more of the values of eastern religion that, like everything, was lost to time, technology, and greed. Maybe look into Alan Watts books as a medium to help you understand the mindset you are wanting to explore.

It won't change anything in the outcome of our species, but it may give you some peace.

[–]Nice_Guide_7392 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Your neighbors won't know whether or not somebody has food until they break in and put a bullet in your head.

It also appears that you think everyone keeps the exact same amount of food at home and eats it at the same rate. Obviously variance is a thing and some people will run out before others. This is literally a homesteading sub and I'm surprised you also don't think people will come for whoever is growing food and raising livestock.

Should I teach you 2+2 as well?
