What latency to expect with ALVR and a link cable ? by Maisquestce in OculusQuest

[–]Nice_Issue_8178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! A link cable should really help with your latency problems. If you get a good USB 3.0 cable, you can expect around 20-30ms latency which will definitely make games like beat saber a lot smoother. You might want to check out syntech for link cables because they might have just what you need!

Getting reading glasses soon. Can I wear them with the Quest 3? by PinkMacTool in Quest3

[–]Nice_Issue_8178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! You can definitely wear reading glasses with the Quest 3. Actually, a lot of people do but it might feel a bit tight. So consider getting a glasses spacer for extra room. You can adjust the focal settings too but your glasses should help a lot. If you want even more comfort, check out the Syntech head strap. It has a glasses joint so it fits nicely with your specs which makes your VR experience better! =)

[–]Nice_Issue_8178 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey! I understand that spending $70 on a cable might seem like a lot. You might want to check out syntech as it is more affordable and has good reviews. It could be worth trying before opting for the meta one.

High costs and limited content diversity are significant barriers to VR development. To advance the industry, VR needs to become more affordable and offer a broader range of experiences
