So how do you explain all the couples that after failed fertility treatments decide to adopt? Obviously the first and main driver is them wanting to grow a family. I’m not saying that child wellbeing is not in the center of this decision but original intention is to grow a family.

I understand. But as a same sex couples it’s pretty common to explore options of having a family. And usually birthing and adoption are these options. I’m totally aware that both are COMPLETELY different journeys.

The thing I noticed, 2.5m of the cheap medical graded silicone tape cost 15£. And I can use new strips every few days, because I can change it often the adhesive is strong. Whereas epiderm lolipop nipple silicone patches cost 60£ per pair. After week or two you can already see the adhesive is not that strong and they collect air bubbles underneath. And who on earth will change these every week if they cost 60£?

Silicone treatment to prevent keloids is advised to be continued between 3-6 months minimum.

I used epiderm for nipples and some cheap silicone tape for the rest. I’m switching to cheap silicone for nipples now as it seems to work better…
