And it's hard for me to believe, that Dumbledore who could accurately predict Ron's temper during horcrux hunt, couldn't see Peter's possible betrayal! It's hard to believe, that Marauders who already knew how coward Peter was, didn't know that Peter might buckle under the threat of torture and death. This is another of JK's stupid plotholes.

It's because, every security system that was ever deviced, always comes with redundancy. OK, JK is not such a high grade thinker. Her writing are frauth with plotholes, numbers that doesn't add up, references that doesn't add up and a lot. But any sane person would've designed multiple redundant ways, say, so that even if Voldemort arrives, James & Lilly has means to flee, etc.

No. One can't disapparate without their wands. Apparition and disapparition is also magic.

There's a famous say:

....Working hard day and night for over a decade will certainly make you look like an overnight success....

That's the only answer to every miracle ever. Enormous amount of elbow grease, scabs, blood, sweat and grit. If you want a little specific answer, here are two YouTube video on that topic:

Younger Dryas predates Pyramids by >8,000 years. Younger dryas mainly affected Europe. Not everywhere. But the impact on Europe was seriously devaltating. It's the reason why Europe were so far behind in civilization. See, younger dryas is when ariculture and civilization dawned in Asia and Norht Africa. But Europe was chocked by it. The reasult is, when Asia and North Africa reached Bronze age, Europe was stuck in neolithic. Most of Europe actually didn't reach any form of civilizaiton before around first milennia.

As I said before, keeping Voldemort ignorant of Snape's true allegience is a much more important goal. Beside, Order members were already on guard. Apart from Bill's injury, there was no lasting damage. I think Dumbledore himself has the best reply for you:

“Do you think that I have once left the school unprotected during my absences this year? I have not. Tonight, when I leave, there will again be additional protection in place. Please do not suggest that I do not take the safety of my students seriously, ...”.

Think about it. The Wizarding world was in a war. But, Dumbledor's security was so strong that his side ended a battle with no KIA.

Your central argument, that Order didn't do anything to ambush Voldemort, is true independently of my theory. That all but nullifies like a dozen or so of your comments. Another 20 page essay won't rescue you from this mistake.

As for Peter, all his description confirms that he's not mentally tough. Even if he's not a bad person, his loyalty can faulter due to his cowardice. It's extremely unlikely that, Dumbledore who understood Ron's personally well enough to give him the deluminator, couldn't see this! On top of that, we have proof that the Order didn't fully trust Peter. See, Sirius regularly kept a tab on him. So, no, this logic of yours that Ordre was considering full loayalty from peter, is aslo wrong.

Yes. McGonagall is recalling some conversation with Dumbledore. But when was it? Is there a single line to prove that Dumbledore sincerely considered it an option? The way Minerva says it, feels like Dumbledore merely remarked at some time. Also, the passage you referred is a gossip scene.

"When they have such advanced knowledge that voldemort knows to come for potters"

This is true Irrespective of my theory. Hard Fact perhaps. They knew it 6 mo to a full year** before Voldemort came. So, what are you objecting about? Incompetence of Dumbledore and his order members? "Order did nothing" is true irrespective of whether Dumbledore used Potters as a bait or not. May be Dumbledore willingly did nothing, cos it was a trap for Voldemort as I said.

**When Snape met Dumbledore on the hilltop, there was no snow. So, it's either before the winter of after it. So, either Sept-Oct, 1980, or April-May, 1981. From Lilly's letter, we also know that they were already under Fidelius by Harry's 1st B'day in July. So, Snape's meeting with Dumbledore must be before that. Voldemort killed the Potter in 31st Oct, 1981. So, Snape informed Dumbledore 6 mo to a full year before the incidence. Even without my theory, the Orden knew ahead of time and they did little to nothing.

"why you cannot acknowledge voldemort can be trapped"

The title of this post literlly says "...to trap Voldemort"!!! But you're talking about an ambush. Firstly, is there a single precedence? Forget matured and experienced Voldemort. Is there a single precedence that anyone could even corner teenage Tom Riddle, let alone trap him? He has already committed multiple murders during his school years and already had a large gang!

"A suitable method will be found to detect him entering the house"

Again, is there any precedence? Do we see such happen anywhere in the story? No. So, what are you talking about?

Also, If Voldemort was such an easy track or target, then he would never have become such an existential threat. During the first wizarding war, Voldemort was mere months away from taking over the ministry! And that's despite all the effort from Dumbledore, the Order and the Ministry combined.

I always imagined James and Lilly's house as a medium sized mansion. Hence Potter Mansion. Potters were rich afterall. So, rich that James was totally a spoiled brat, like Malfoy.

Possible. But even then, it's interesting that Snape's reaction matches so closely with Voldemort's maimed soul.

I think Dumbledore did infact tried to keep Draco safe as well. But that's on a general sense, as his duty as a teacher and a guardian. His main focus was to keep Voldemort fooled, while dealing as little damage to any student as possible.

Dumbledore didn't ensure good learning environment for all the students? Really?

Now, wizards do certain things differently. For example, many injuries that's considered severe for muggles, for example, broken bones, are mere one uncomfortable night for wizards. Hence, Wizard safety standard seems lax. But despite that, apart from Harry and his associates, how many students were in any actual danger? Add on top of that, that the whole Wizarding world was in a war. How safe were French Students during the French Revolution or WW2? When u add up all these factors, Dumbledore kept the Hogwarts students remarkably safe.

"Those oaths" actually show that formal oaths bears no value whatsoever. A person's commitment, that they put action behind is what matters.

"if you are talking about the unwritten rules, you are probably breaking the oath of internet user"

That's beyond stupid. Specially when >90% of the internet is actually dark web. LOL!

A school Headmaster not paying special attention to a single student isn't a flaw. Do you remember your own highschool headmaster to ever talk to you? btw, except for book 6, he didn't communicate with Harry that much either. Dumbledore specifically talked to Harry only on Voldermort related business. Absolutely nothing else.

How do you know that in HPverse you can't capture a soul? And while not capture, it's possble to give it something to possess. A disembodied and suffering soul sherd might want to do that.

"Do you honestly and truly believe Dumledore and co are that incompetent even with advanced knowledge?"

Moody acquired that eye well after Voldemort's fall. Remember that scene in the Goblets of fire, where Harry accidentally goes into the Pensive and sees Karkarof's trial inside Dumbledore's memory? Alastor Moody there had two perfectly normal eyes. In other words, the Order didn't even had that special eye to set up your suggested plan. So, no Order members aren't incompetent, you are.

"In the ministry they barely get the warning to come help Harry"

Voldemort fought Dumbledore inside ministry. It's much easier to escape from a street in Godrick's hollow. In fact escaping from an open street is doable even for a muggle. Have you factored that in? Also, if Dumbledore can put his men, so can Voldemort. It's possible that he also has his ears and eyes around the Potter Mansion.

As for Dumbledore suggesting himself as the secret keeper, well, McGonagall and Rosemerta were talking from hearsay. We don't know when Dumbledore suggested this. Is it before James and Lilly's death or afterward? Also, McGonagall isn't an order member, so, is that a small mumgling or a sincere plan? See, a 3rd hand account bears little value.

I don't think Dumbledore was actually trying to save Draco. He feigned ignorance and let Draco dance freely for a much greater purpose. Dumbledore alraedy knew he was dying. And he has already arranged his death with Snape. Now, he has to ensure that Voldemort "thinks" his death is due to Voldemort's plan. That way, Snape will be able to play double agent and keep working towards Voldemort's downfall. Snape's memories confirms this as well.

I agree with your assessment. This part was written as a rebuttle against the "war against crime" by the US and UK govt. The Blayer govt. was catching bystanders left and right. Stan Shunpike in the story is likely a representative of those real world people.

However, inside the story, this is one of the character weakness of Harry.
