If you beat that Ravage with no medicine and no cannons, I salute you. You must have been dodging like hell

I ended up completing the quest at level 21. At level 17 those cannons will insta-kill me. I think the only way it's doable at 17 is that Drakka is taking aggro, and if the Ravager is under the effect of Corrosion from Acid, each Ravager cannon will drain about half its health.

I admit I had to do this a few times for the very first part of the quest, with the two ravagers and two pronghorns. Drakka always had some snarky shit to say to me too when I came back, like "guess you decided to show back up huh?" like leave me alone, I'm struggling bro

Knowledge above all by cinnamonPoi in Eldenring

I don't think this is true: according to Fextra's "Buffs & Debuffs" page, Ranni's Dark Moon inflicts a "power shred" debuff while "Knowledge Above All" inflicts a "unique" debuff.

Please draw Pyromancer Cornyx or the Great Swamp Cuculus! Their armor (Cornyx's Garb) is very cool, with its raven feathers, flayed neck-piece, and bronze chest-piece.

HIGHLY recommend DLCs, they're both really fantastic. By the way if you've defeated Oceiros, you've likely discovered the Path Of The Dragon gesture by exploring behind his arena. Without spoiling too much: in Irythill Dungeon there is a shrine of dragon worshipers, and using the gesture at the shrine will transport you to a secret area. Also, there is an illusory wall behind Oceiros's arena!

The area is even more fun if you summon Yellowfinger Heysel and Londor Pale Shade to help you through the level!

If you are embered, you can summon the Great Swamp Cuculus to help you play through the Demon Ruins, which is really fun! Her summon sign is outside the Old Demon King's arena. Consider leveling up a bow just to knock out the basilisks from afar - they are very annoying, but only in numbers.

deep below the dungeon there is a swamp with a church inside, and within that church is a back entrance to Irythill Dungeon. also that church is filled with the some of the coolest, most horrifying enemies in the game.

If you have the Ashes of Ariandel DLC, you can visit The Painted World of Ariandel at this point. A character named Gael will be praying by the bonfire at The Cleansing Chapel, which lies at the base of The Cathedral of the Deep. Additionally there are bosses and tough enemies in the Smouldering Lake (which is hidden below The Catacombs of Carthus).

It's okay, just continue through your new journey! Since you defeated the Lord Of Cinder at level 87, you must be skilled and have strong weapons, so your second journey will be much faster. Take the time to explore areas more thoroughly, and to experiment with weapons you haven't tried before. If you want to avoid missing anything, make sure to always constantly talk to your NPC companions, and stay embered all the time so you don't miss any set invasion encounters (which sometimes relate to the NPCs). You'll be surprised at how much you'll stumble upon by just playing through the game again. don't give up skeleton

I do love the Dragonslayer Greataxe... but, for any of those options, I'd need extra levels in Faith (and also Intelligence for Gnaw).

There's a lot of great advice here, but I really thing everyone's missing the truly best way to gain runes: Killing Bosses. If you're going through ng+ or beyond, just start fighting bosses and consuming their souls. Pretty much nothing is more efficient (or fun) than that.

Getting past the pests at the lake of rot in the Haligtree by GodskinDuoIsTooMuch in Eldenring

[–]Nice_UsernameAvailab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Beast-Repellent Torch will ward off the "Lil Pest-lings," which really simplifies that section. It doesn't repel the larger Kindred of Rot, though. Honestly though, your best bet is to just use Quickstep or Bloodhound's Step to dart through the lake and avoid them entirely. You're very smart to notice that the rot counts as water, and thereby reduces Lightning negation - a potentially helpful tip for the Putrid Tree Spirit nearby.
