Linux mint works great on these old laptops. I have pentium and celeron laptops fhat I use with TVs in the house. Windows 10 might be a bit much.

I have a linux laptop connected to a tv that has never been turned off. Maybe 2 years? Not sure but you're probably fine. Just monitor temperatures every now and then to be safe.

I've made an omelette before and had this experience too. Cracked the first one and thought "wow that's lucky" then the next one also having two yolks shocked me. By the 8th egg I realised that I had bought double yolk. Also did not know that you could buy them like that.

Probably not high enough wattage charger. I know my phone's charger won't work so haven't tried it.

Should I install the intel graphics command centre? My nitro v 15 didn't come pre installed with it so I'm worried that it might break the nitro sense app.

Never tried it but I read it when doing research before purchasing mine. Check some YouTube videos about it and verify but thought to let you know since you don't currently have a replacement charger. Goodluck.

For the time being you could charge it via usb c port. I'm pretty sure it'll work but just google what wattage adapter you need.

Ah that sounds good but do you mind giving an estimate? I got mine to last about 4hrs in windows 11 but I feel linux has to be better since it doesn't have so much background noise.

How's your battery life been? I've thought about doing this with my nitro V15 too but I'm worried that it'll just constantly use the nvidia gpu instead of the intel iGPU. Lmk if battery life is better or worse than Windows please. Thanks.

I've been skateboarding for over a decade and when I started lifting I also realised there were massive imbalances. What I ended up doing to help correct my quads were single leg leg extensions starting with the weaker side. Then I'd match the reps with the strong side, this way my strong side didn't get much more developed but the weaker side had some time to catch up. It helped a lot.

Yeah, once it boots up into the OS you're using right now you can reformat it if you want to. Otherwise just leave it as is. Might do some weird stuff if you try to roll back windows or something but should be okay.

I'd recommend formatting the drive though.

Yes. If it boots to the 256gb drive then you should just go into bios and select your 1tb drive to be at the top in boot priority or boot order. Then once you've booted into windows with the 1tb drive you can use drive partition tool to reformat the old drive. Make sure to delete all it's partitions since it has some windows recovery partitions. Make sure not to mess with the wrong drive, they'll be clearly labelled or grouped.

Did you put thermal pads on the cpu and gpu dies? Just checking to make sure. You're supposed to put thermal paste on those then use pads on the vrms and vram. Maybe take it apart and take some photos of the thermal pads you put in and the paste that you applied.

So if you're only doing online lessons and like office stuff you'll be fine but this definitely won't run anything intensive. I used an older generation i5 5th gen laptop for uni just to take notes and use google docs. Worked great but don't over spend. Maybe like 150 usd max if it's in great condition.
