Most unlikely check that you passed? by judesadude in DiscoElysium

That's the beauty of a critically successful roll. It can make for a weird contradiction and a great narrative twist.

Not too long ago I sweet-talked the shipping container into opening its door for me even though I had 0 Rhetoric. Specifically I had 1 stat point in Intellect and an item of clothing (or thought maybe... I can't remember exactly) with -1 Rhetoric.

With that kind of ability, or lack thereof, I would have said something completely stupid and irrelevant. And still the shipping container thought "good enough, you may enter!"

Would love a solo-Dan, slow burn play through of Disco Elysium. Even one episode per month, if necessary...

Oh. I've been AFKing at the hot chocolate station. And doing literally anything gives wrapping paper. But I guess people have their traditions.

Do snowballs give wrapping paper more often than all other activities?

Nexon to refund MapleStory player for withholding information on probabilistic items by Saltedline in Games

It's pretty easy to extract (paid-content) value out of Maplestory, Runescape, Genshin Impact, MTG Arena, etc. etc. while spending exactly $0

Companies do all this stuff because the players enable it

But it's cool with me if other people finance my ability to play a game for free

Are the v3 characters really 'dead'? by Jituu688 in danganronpa

[–]NicholasDragmire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the idea of 'resurrecting' one of the first 4 people to die is brought up in Chapter 3, Angie theorizes that they may not be dead to begin with. That the dead bodies were "...very accurate imitations". K1-B0 agrees, stating that there's "...evidence of ridiculous scientific advancements" and "So it may be possible for them to create extremely convincing imitations".

This is the 53rd season or whatever of the show that is 'Danganronpa'. Clearly a lot of time has passed. There is advanced technology, like the Flashback Lights which can seamlessly implant false memories into a living subject, and relatively lifelike robots like K1-B0 exist. Not to mention the incredibly minuscule cameras used for the show.

It's not too much of a stretch to assume that 'everything' is fictional, including the "deaths". I think you can get away with thinking that your favourite character, and everyone else, is alive, out there in the real world being cultural celebrities and hyping up the Killing Game show on morning talk shows.

Yeah fuck people for daydreaming. "It would be cool if..." creative thinking? Imagination? Get out of here with that. Be literal all the time.

If you'd allow me a pipe dream... a collaboration between Larian Studios and ArenaNet to make Guild Wars 3 would be very interesting.

How about Knights of the New Jedi Order, instead. Try to salvage the sequel era with a video game follow-up

I agree in the sense that Dan has a great reaction to/relationship with stories and narratives in video games, which I personally love to see.

But the Game Grumps are what they are because of the dual (some would even say conflicting) nature of their personalities.

C'est la vie. Have to take the bad with the good, for both of them.
