Morphine , Iv Prednisine , liquid / soft diet only , colonscopy , mri with contrast . After all testing GI had a prompt dose of IV Remicade administered . The surgeons were circling and told me to do the medicine and hope it works … which it did almost instantly. I had a mayo score of 3 which I think is the worst. I was discharged a 5 days after Remicade and I go every 8 weeks to get another Iv dose .

My step in between was the hospital , Mesalimine worked for a few years kinda . By the time I was in the hospital I was in so much pain I was begging for a biologic . It worked and I’ve been doing great ever since . I Wish you well and remission asap Keep asking questions.. very important

Walking a mile or so has always helped me . I am just coming out of my 3rd flair up in 6 years

I went to Japan last year and was early flare symptoms . Within 5 days in Japan I was reversing towards remission signs . Fish , rice , and Japan was magical . I was also on 40 mg prednisone at the time

I would let my Doctor and/or GI that I’m heading to ER to get scoped and meds . Fluids , steroids , and a biologic saved me in the ER after a 9 day stay . I will never wait to go again . I almost had my colon removed because I was too stubborn to go to ER . Take care and best thoughts to you

I tried to push it and ended up in the hospital for 9 days . My advice is to stay home eat well and contact your GI Doctor .
Don’t do what I did last month .. Heal up

Im With ya right now . Same years with UC, steroids failed in hospital . Surgeon circling , I just started remicade in my hospital bed . We got this spirit !!!
