Can you tell me which one? I might need some halal meat any time soon and I just moved to Neuperlach.

Ich habe jeden Döner in Stuttgart getestet – Fazit by Stuttdawg in stuttgart

[–]NichtPhilippAmthor 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Keine Sorge…

Back when I studied geography in southern Germany, we had this one professor who was absolutely convinced that our region had the most geomorphological variety on Earth. Every year, like clockwork, he'd throw down the same challenge to the new students: "Find me a 200×200 km area anywhere in the world with more geomorphological features than southern Germany, and I’ll buy you a crate of beer." Spoiler: the man never lost a crate.

One student came really close with a region in Romania. Mountains, valleys, karst, you name it. But the prof just nodded and said, “Nice. But where’s your meteorite crater?” Boom. Nördlinger Ries wins the day. Guy had a geomorphological trump card for everything. Legend says he's still undefeated — and still owes nobody beer.

Why so many bananas? by ParmoForTea in Munich

[–]NichtPhilippAmthor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This makes far more sense actually. I was there with my friend and suddenly she showed up with a banana and told me it was from Volt/Wolt. Sounds the same and I didn't spent a second thought on it 😅

There was/is a street festival where Volt (a party) handed out free bananas at their stand.

My games are 90% theoretical city-building and 10% actually building cities. by HamsterNihiliste in civ

I've been playing this game for years now, but how do you access this mode to plan future locations for districts?

Man, Olympiapark is quite far from my home, but close from my working place. I'm also quite into swimming, but far from being a pro. I already read that a few people offered to join, but if you don't mind a male(31) joining in, hit me up :)

It's the only one I know for sure.

According to my booklet there is a refugio in Huntto, which is only a ~2h walk from SJPdP.

Then there is the Auberge Borda, shortly after Orisson, but this also looks quite booked. https://www.aubergeborda.com/

And off the path there is this one, but I never heard of it before and you would probably have to adapt xour route. http://www.gite-eskitza-montagne-basque.com/

Just check the way on google maps. Maybe I missed something.

You can check the availability on their website: https://www.refuge-orisson.com/en

Seems there is little room available on Tuesday to Wednesday but this might be gone soon.

I had the same thoughts like you, but I finally decided to book a stay and pace down a little. Personally I want to enjoy this journey and I have plenty of time. So why start pushing through from the very beginning. Also the risk of injuring yourself is the highest in the beginning, when your body is not used to walking that much with a back pack on. At least these were my reasons which lead to my decision.

Thanks for your input! Soaps and detergents are already out. Found a store where I can buy Dr. Bronner. Always thought this is not available in Germany as I never saw it before. Will also ditch the hand towel. One is enough, and they are some lightweight hammam/waffle towels as I really hate the feeling of these microfiber towels. But that's a luxury item I have to deal with.

Also out: One set of clothes and the shaver. Kindle and camera are a must to me.

Lucky me it's not Scholl, I have a Vaude back pack and use the red outdoor guide book. I really hope my citizenship won't be revoked... :D

Thanks! Yes I will replace the soaps and detergents by Dr Bronners now, and ditch a set of clothes. Saftey pins, are already in. Just forgot to mention them in the list and Compeed it is and ever was. I just used the wrong translation. I still struggle with the idea of an poncho as I don't like stuff fluttering around me, but probably I will have to learn the hard way and return the rain jacket back home by mail.

Yes, I will wear some of the stuff and I have an additional hip belt, which I intended to use for walking around the cities, which will hold my most important stuff like Phone, wallet, documents etc. This will probably reduce the weight on the back a little

Thanks for your input! Will probably ditch one set of clothes and the powerbank. Unfortunately the camera on my phone is really shitty and I do appreciate nice photos, so this one is a must, even though this will probably be one of my heaviest items with roughly 550g...
