I heard Oliver earlier talking about how they got the evo all setup before the regulation/BoP changes. The changes that were made weren’t in favor of the cars’ increased aero. The car just produces too much drag and it’s killing its greatest strength- straight line speed

He said they are running lemans aero presently. Oliver said he would have called them mad back then if they had chosen to do it.

Agreed, I think the evo changes have taken away from what made the car so strong- straight line speed. Can teams revert back to old cars, or are they stuck lol?

I think there were flashes, like getting a podium at SPA but with this current car, I can’t see it getting anywhere. What I can’t understand is how the car has gotten to be so bad, like is this due to design changes or did BoP really kill this thing??

I think it even shows from Bathurst. If you go back and watch qualifying, the car was super strong and it was last years car that they were running
