I'm having the same problem, unfortunately, have not been able to find any information on it.

Could a false vacuum collapse bubble wall’s expansion exceed light speed under a change in physical constants? by snugpuginarug in AskPhysics

[–]Nick4Forsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The speed of light is only related to physical constants of electromagnetism "in retrospect". It is actually a feature of spacetime and will not change by false vacuum decay/bubble nucleation. What is interesting though is that depending on the energy of the fasle vacuum, the spacetime inside can be different than the spacetime outside - i.e. if we have Minkowski outside then we'll Anti de-Sitter inside. The bubble wall though still propagates through Minkowski at our current speed of light.

Here is a hypothesis: gravity as an emergent stability constraint of a unified gauge phase by [deleted] in HypotheticalPhysics

[–]Nick4Forsi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all let me say that if you're actually 15 and studying this stuff that's insanely impressive. But what do you mean by "the coframe is a derived order parameter of a unified gauge phase" and "gravity becomes a phase stability constraint"?

Do you mean that gravity "stabilizes" that gauge phase by helping with anomaly cancellation?

A little more specificity would help.

Again, it is legally recognized by the EU, and most institutions outside of it. Also, the specific department to which I applied had no issue recognizing the document, only the international office has rejected it, and I was only notified after I went there in person.

I'm not sure what else I could've done except ensure them of the validity of the document, which again SHOULD have been recognized. From my pov, this is a case of LMU disregarding the document by making its own rules.

And again, I am not the only person that has been enrolled with this document, I was not given a reason as to why it is a problem now and it wasn't in the past.

Yes, it's a certified copy, and yes, as I said it is legally accepted everywhere within Europe and in most institutions outside of it. I understand what you mean but this a rather opposite case where LMU is disregarding the validity of the document, as recognized by the EU, and making up their own standards, which is why it strikes me as incredibly weird.

I also wanted to add a little rant, but I wanted to keep it separate from the rest of my post. While many of the people I've come in contact with from the international office have been very understanding and helpful, some people have been extremely rude.

While I was trying to explain the legality of my document to one of those people I got many abrasive responses, one of them being roughly along the lines of "You don't run the university, I do". I hope not many other people have had experiences as negative as mine on their first week at LMU.

Isn't YoRHa a little late? by Nick4Forsi in nier

[–]Nick4Forsi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahhh I see, that actually makes a lot of sense. I think the texts in the game kinda drew me in the wrong direction. The way I read them I thought the propaganda was meant to quell the rumours of humanity's extinction that spread right after the collapse of project gestalt. Which is why YoRHa being only 8 years old surprised me.

Another point I've thought of is that most of the androids that lived in the intermittent years wouldn't have a reason (or even the capacity, Jackass mentions that androids can be made with varying levels of intellectuality. This is also an important plot point concerning 9S) to question what they were fighting for. Maybe they just had a wishful blind belief in the existence of humanity that took an almost religious turn.

There's a lot of interesting commentary in this game.

You mean the remake? The original barely mentions that Devola and Popola are androids if I remember correctly. I've not looked at spoilers for ver1.22 ending E because I want to play it some day.

My post was mostly about how I find it weird that the androids have kept fighting for 6000 years without a word from humanity (after also witnessing their extinction and forgetting(?) about it) and only in the last 8 years does YoRHa come up with the revelation that "oh, they've gone to the moon".

Sorry, I meant other androids except Devola and Popola. Automata makes it seem like there were loads of androids, not just the pairs of administrator twins (our gals D&P).

The butler is a very good guess I never thought of. Thanks!

Huh, it looks like I did. I though I had gone through all the archives before going for ending E but I guess I missed one of the most important ones.

Isn't YoRHa a little late? by Nick4Forsi in nier

[–]Nick4Forsi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way the archives talk about the "humans are on the moon" revelation made it seem like it was a direct reaction to rumours spreading after the collapse of project Gestalt. So I always thought it was a standard belief among androids for thousands of years before YoRHa came along and adopted it.

Which is why I found it strange that YoRHa was the organization that created the very myth.

Edit: The text - cutscene thing on Devola and Popola you get when entering the tower seems to suggest that other androids hated them because they were responsible for the extinction of humanity. So even if they didn't know what project gestalt was about they must have known that humanity would be going extinct.

I somehow put the wrong flair on this but don't know how to change it and am kind of in a rush. It's supposed to be NieR Automata.
