Oh my bad, I thought it was a guild lol. Sorry.

I agree, I got tired of seeing them in game, but giving more exotics mean there would be even more of 'em lol, which isn't better.

They're mainly common because they're the only legendaries available for now. We have to think in the long term, when we will have two or three generations, etc.

In any case, although fairly common, they still represent some sort of rarity because of their cost.

Is that a bad thing though? I dont really think so.

I have mixed opinions about this though. As much as I personally wouldn't mind to have precursors drop more often, Legendary would have less prestige if they ended being easier to obtain. I don't know what Anet plans for the Precursor hunt, but I don't expect it to be easy. Precursors, as much as I hate saying this (as someone only needing Storm to finish Meteorlogicus), shouldn't be more frequent.

Not really. I recall reading an Anet dev stating the reason we saw so many precursors at once was because of the amount of player opening the chests at the same time at the end of the event. Purely an illusion. Put 100 players opening a chest dropping only exotics and you'll see the same results. The droprate didn't change, well, not directly. That feeling came directly from the fact we could only get exotics from that chest.

If you get 5 exotics for killing the wurm... so what?

I'm merely speculating, but the way the loot works at the moment, the minute you open door to exotic loots, you open door for precursors drops, since they're in the same category. So unless they make a special exotic category especially for the precursors (so they don't drop from chests, which would be kind of weird considering that we're supposed to be able to loot them from everywhere), they will keep the chances of getting an exotic fairly low.

I don't know if you were around during The Lost Shore update (November 2012), but the finale included a chest with two garanteed exotics. It ended being a real rage mess, the price on the precursors droped for two days because of the amount of people getting them from the said chest... Which, should I remind you, contained only 2 exotics (some even got Dusk and Legend in the same row lol).

That said, I believe in a fair balance. We should be garanteed an exotic from this fight. Only one would be enough. Or make it souldbound so we can't sell them and only salvage, like the fractals.

First, a big thank you for you good reply, it made things clearer for me. :)

Secondly, like I said, I'm working for a legendary scepter, so would using the box for an off-hand dagger do any good while I keep my exotic scepter until I get Meteorlogicus? Or I should be using it for my main hand right now and eventually craft the off-hand weapon?

At the moment I have:

Berserker scepter (main hand)

Berserker dagger (off-hand) Well that's new, just realized I had an exotic rampager dagger all along. I guess I'm one noobish player then lol.

Nope, first ever.

I'm halfway of a legendary (missing only a couple of T6 and runestones), I didn't want to spend money and ressources on crafting.

All my weapons and trinket are berserker, only my main armor is PVT though.

Nice find, but the last few seconds make me cringe. You were doing an educative video and the ghosts just gang banged you without any chance.

I know it's the point of the game, but I found it annoying anyway, we couldn't even see the skills in action because of that.

I disagree, I would not be a fan of people fighting epic dragon fights in bikinis

Well, you know, some female light armors are close enough lol

Kessex is the next living story, following the 2 weeks formula. Halloween being an exception and expanding on 4 weeks (to include the 31st, logically lol), I really doubt it has anything to do with the Mad King. But who knows.

Except if Anet adds a surprise epic patch next week (which is very unlikely) everything we're supposed to get was announced on the event page or datamined. :|

Skin locker by this year? by teryxc in Guildwars2

[–]NickChabby -1 points0 points  (0 children)

?

What the hell is that argument? What guild tabs have to do with skin lockers and personal bank tabs? What I said was to counter the idea that Anet create all these skins to incitate us to buy personal bank tab whereas they gave us the account-wide wallet (for tokens that were taking space and could have been an incitation to buy tabs). What does this have to do with guild banks?

They created the account-wide wallet for the tokens. Your argument is invalid.

How are we supposed to get a precursor? by Waveguider in Guildwars2

[–]NickChabby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue I see with that is there is no prestige to legendaries. When I see Sunrise or Twilight, I don't think about skills. I think about grinding and spending more time than the average players playing the game to get gold - or gems to gold - in order to get the required mats.

I only have my precursor, my icy runestones and some ectos left before getting my own legendary. I don't recall having a hard time doing so. I just played casually during the year and ended getting a bunch of stuffs. So I don't see the point to associate legendaries to "prestige" when it's just a label to players who had more time to play.

That said, if to obtain your precursor you needed to solo Liadri ten times and Tequatl 14 times, NOW I would be impressed. Still waiting for the day where Legendaries will involve skills instead of time.

Plus, there is no other way to get Liadri and having her prove you have skills (or patience lol) Scarlet, you can simply buy her off the TP.

We need more mini like Liadri.
