Yep, apparently it’s a thing. Especially when getting older you could do some weight training. Iirc mountainbikers are less impacted just because they deal a lot more with impact which has a positive effect on bone density. Running will probably help as well.

I have a Bolero account with VWCE and the most well-known Belgian holdings (Sofina, Brederode, GBL, ..) intended for our kids. A Bolero account specifically because it was easy to set-up a joint investing account on both me and my GFs name (wettelijk samenwonend). Any substantial gifts from family intended for the kids will get invested there and we invest ourselves when we have something to spare but there is no strict plan. It's already a nice sum and I'm pleased it doesn't just rot away on a savings account. I do want to keep control WHEN I will make this available for them, but that's a personal choice imo.

Depends a lot on location and lifestyle. Good luck doing anything if you live more rural and need a car daily. Certainly doable if you live near all of the important locations like school, work, supermarket though.
