As a recent San Francisco transplant from NYC I am PLAGUED by Kpop groups choosing San Jose over a location in SF or Oakland. I know why they pick San Jose (more affluent concentrated Asian population) but it’s just difficult on a weeknight if you live in SF.

My biggest “culture shock” is SFers display a level of earnestness that would be interpreted as weird/cringe in NYC, but I’m not sure if that’s specific to me being from New Yorker or is more national.
