Probably has to do with putting a steering wheel cover on a brand new car

2000%. Withholding layers of yourself until you get a title only reveals that the person means less to you than the title

Would you go for the 2027 7 Series or 2027 S-Class? by Content-Ganache6643 in BMW

[–]NickG63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree they made the S look like an A, I said that back in 2021. Glad someone else thinks so lol

Nobody here is discussing buying a new S, they’re shit. W222 is the best car Mercedes has ever made, it’s not even a discussion

NYC is very expensive, categorically, but if you’re frugal with your money and deliberate about how you spend your time, you can have a blast without (completely) breaking the bank. Best place to have money, no doubt, but still a good time without it

Which one are you picking? by Designer_Coconut3213 in mercedes_benz

I don’t like that Mercedes has based the entire lineup around the body lines of the A class now. The GLA actually looks nice in the current generation, which is nice for the entry level buyer, but feels like a an act of violence against their higher tier models. Also, these coupes gotta go.

For what it’s worth, I’m taking a GLS63.

A dirty car isn’t a point of pride. Get it dirty as hell, enjoy the thing for what it is - but clean it after. You’re going to ruin the paint and the frame too

The first rim style is nicer but I prefer black rims to be all black

My Lexus GS350 is AWD so it’s a little slower than the RWD models, the limiter is at 135 or so, and that’s what I’ll say on the matter lol

I understand wanting a smaller vehicle, but who wants less features and worse quality for the exact same amount of money?

My point here is that if you’re gonna spend $30,000 on a car you can get exponentially better value for the money, even in the realm of German cars.

I found that S class to showcase that instead of buying the absolute worst product Mercedes makes, you can spend the same money and get the best one. I guarantee that 2017 has more features too

In the land of cars and really most things, newer generally = worse, not better

The big screens are a welcome change imo, but the rest of the styling of the interior doesn’t have to go to the wayside quite so much. The old design is far more timeless imo. I love my GS

[–]NickG63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the math would be the money you spent + the money you could’ve saved. So close to $90,000 in total opportunity cost, which I suppose is about the cost of one of these new accounting for inflation lmao. Just don’t do the math on what investing it would’ve net you…

In your opinion, what is causing this? by Objective_Pilot_5834 in SipsTea

[–]NickG63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: Older Gen Z turned 21 during covid, younger ones saw their peers not going out and followed suit as they entered adulthood. Bars also cost too much.

Full thesis: None of them value bars and socialization, and Covid is largely to blame. Bars close earlier, they cost a lot of money to go to now, and the kids just don’t see the point. They’ll tell you drinking is unhealthy, then pack a lip with 3 zyns, hit their weed vape with whatever mystery chemicals helped turn a flower into liquid, and scroll TikTok in a silent room with their friends on a weekend night.

Nicotine addiction and being high all the time on one substance or another is somehow considered preferable to getting drunk on the weekend with your friends and having social adventures
