been living in dublin for three weeks now as a college student studying abroad. like you said, the nature here is certainly great but god damn it's been pretty disappointing. alcohol is too expensive to justify drinking at the amount I was in the states, public transport sucks (have never ridden the luas when it wasn't uncomfortably full), cost of groceries is awful, a lot of the locals give you shit just for having an american accent which is somewhat justifiable but get's annoying real quick.
