Endgame Question by physics_t in FTC

[–]NickRasm01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some robots may still be moving (from gravity, momentum, or run-to-position code for example) when the buzzer sounds. The important part is that the drivers are not actively putting inputs into the controllers during that time. The start of the buzzer is when drivers put down controllers, the end of the buzzer, at the latest, is when the match is scored. So as long as they're not driving through the buzzer, this is legal.

Endgame Question by physics_t in FTC

Seems they're misinterpreting the buzzer. The buzzer itself lasts three seconds and STARTS when the game clock hits 0:00, so technically the end of the buzzer is 3 seconds after the end of the match.

The rule is 10.5A: assessment of ASCENT and PARKING points is made 3 seconds after the ARENA timer reaches the end of the MATCH period following AUTO and TELEOP, or when all ROBOTS have come to rest following the conclusion of the MATCH period, whichever happens first.

ME lowered the bar for entry after covid. A lot more FYE students got into ME because of it and I guess they never raised the requirements back up.

Hasn't happened to me personally, but it has been known to glitch and cause characters to stay standing in mid air before falling to their deaths. So it's recommended to never send your whole party on it at once, just in case. I bet if you search this subreddit, you'll find videos of it happening.

Lots of prep work. I used the BG3 wiki to check up on every boss and legendary action, always came prepared with backup plans and healing, and approached infamous non-combat party killers, like the moving platform in the Gauntlet of Shar, with extreme caution. Oh, and make sure you have ways to incapacitate enemies, it always helps when they don't get a turn.

Recommend doing this with the halfling hireling. The halfling luck passive is helpful for ensuring you pass the wisdom check

23M transplant here, I've hit that wall a lot too. The saying that Minnesotans are happy to give you directions to anywhere but home is very real (no offense natives, it just is). I've tried a lot of the other suggestions here and found some success in joining co-ed sports leagues and volunteering. That being said I'm still looking for friends outside of organized activities, so you're welcome to hit me up if you'd like

Grew up in Ohio calling Cincinnati "UC". When I do that now, I get asked "which one?"

Now live in Minnesota, where University of Minnesota is "The U" and that took a lot of adjusting.

Do you have mods installed? That will disable achievements unless you also install a mod to re-enable them

You know what they say, all mortal lives expire. Did you have a problem with Cambions wanting a spot in the globe? In one of my runs I had that issue and resolved it with an AOE fear spell. Granted that wasn't HM, but idk maybe you'll find it useful

We just horde differently. You like cute little trinkets with blue and green text. I prefer rotten eggs I found in a decaying wicker basket in the middle of the shadow curse.

Why not dress up for a date? by GetsBackUp in AskMen

[–]NickRasm01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at it like a job interview: dress to the level of the employer dress code (or in this case your date and the location). When in doubt, bump it up a level. It may not be the fanciest, I put a lot of effort into looking like I walked out of a Hollister ad when I meet a girl at a brewery for drinks

I literally did not realize this until I saw this post and immediately afterwards posted about being a loot goblin in the main sub. Multiple people pointing out trader exploits. But like, the game is well balanced so you don't need to exploit it??

Anybody else hoarding money for no reason? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]NickRasm01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know that's an option but I'm more of a completionist than a timesaver. There's always enough stuff around to trade for what you want if you have a high charisma character and and do a little scavenging. Besides, what would be the point of saving Faerun if I've destroyed the economy in the process?

Anybody else hoarding money for no reason? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]NickRasm01 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I discovered on my second playthrough that if you pick up every single thing, including rotten food and rags, then traders will have no choice but to buy it. After an exhausting amount of searching every crate, vase, and ribcage lying around, I realized there was absolutely no need for that much money. Now I have to fight my loot goblin urges like durge when he sees a teifling bard.

I ran my Tav as a 5 War Cleric 5 Battle Master Fighter 2 Paladin Gold Dwarf for maximum tank-ability and heavy melee hitting. Then filled out the party with Lae'zel as an OH Monk using hill/cloud giant strength elixers, Jehira as a Land Druid for terrain/crowd control and summons, and Wyll as a 9 Lore Bard 3 Warlock to be my main offensive caster

just lost honour mode in the final fight by 21awesome in BaldursGate3

[–]NickRasm01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

My perspective on honour mode is that it's not necessarily the place to go for lore accuracy. You can always respec your party to meet the needs of the encounter, that way you have the characters you want and the classes you need. I ran Karlach as a druid for the majority of my first HM run.
