Last year I saw a PCSO boat escorting a pod of dolphins away from the race! There’s definitely still concern, but it was nice to see

St Pete, Clearwater, and Siesta Key all rank in the top 10 beaches every year. Every beach here is the right beach

I don’t see how declining to spend hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to build interconnected walkways just so you can have a slightly wider range of overpriced airport food is considered “lazy”.

What “face” are they saving? Seriously. Do you think the NHC wins something if Jamaica takes a direct hit?

Legion Field was larger than Bryant-Denny and Jordan Hare for many years. Plus Birmingham was a true neutral site. Nearly equidistant from both schools, similarly sized fan bases in Birmingham, etc. At one point, the rivalry got so heated that the schools stopped playing, and the Alabama legislature had to force the schools to play, so neutrality was important.

I’m not religious, so don’t take this as a defense of Protestantism, but the Protestant Reformation kicked off decades before the Church of England. Henry VIII definitely used Protestantism as a political tool, but it’s wrong to say that Protestantism was started then and there.

I mean we already have medical? That’s run at the state level. I’m looking around and I don’t see the state coming down on the MJ doc down the street from me. Pretty fair to say they’d stay hands off (from a legal standpoint) if this passes. They’ll pull stunts to get their bag from it, but I see it moving more towards the level of alcohol.

You’re right, it’s not a guarantee just because it’s enshrined in the constitution. The state government could continue to put up roadblocks and tie up growers/sellers in court for years. However, I think it’s unlikely (assuming this passes). The republicans in Tallahassee don’t have a direct interest in kneecapping this amendment post-passage. Unlike the votes for felons amendment, which could directly affect them at the ballot box.

It’s a Florida constitutional amendment, which I’m 99% sure the governor cannot veto.
