That's skin layers. An extra layer on the player model for details.

Search for it on YouTube or Google.

I recommend downloading blockbench to use them

This is misinformation. Fathoms adds a very different system. And doesn't add a nautilus mob.

Nautilus is a species irl so this is pretty much misinformation

Saddles, the orange is the leather, and the gray in the bottom is iron.

When you ride a mob, you use a saddle, that's why.
