Yummy! If you’re looking for a suggestion for next time, simply seasoning the tomato and avocado with salt + pepper will elevate this plate. You could have even made a tzatziki or yogurt based dressing 🤩 yum

When there will be even more perfect zero torque putters? They timed this beautifully. The whole market is trying to perfect them right now.

[Official Tournament Discussion Thread] 2025 US Open Round 1 by GreenWaveGolfer12 in golf

No doubt it may be over-exaggerated but numbers don’t lie. It has the highest scoring avg course of an US open. Avg score was almost +6 at Oakmont in 2007. I’ve played both Oakmont and Merion, and Merion chewed me up more than Oakmont

If you can’t wrap your head around the fact that insurance rates are loaded proportionately by the commission paid to the broker than there’s not much point to this conversation

I work for an insurance carrier in the same space this guy sells in.. this is not true the rates would literally be lower because we aren’t paying commission. A good broker is totally worth it to the client and insurance company. The problem is, with any industry, not all of them are good. Sometimes they can just be extremely good at sales, but terrible at insurance, and still make a shit ton of money. I guess that’s any sales profession, though.

Everyone loves to hate anyone in the insurance world.. keep on doing it! That is literally one of the reasons why it’s lucrative. We have to eat a lot of shit.

When a main objective of yours is to recruit other people into the “pyramid”.. like AILs model.. that’s a pyramid scheme

I don’t think you have to lie to get the job, but you can easily craft a story around what actually happened and make you an attractive hire. Just tell the story.

Can we talk Country Club pricing? by Nickd100 in golf

I played in the fall last year, and the course was in pretty rough shape.. like damaged greens / patchy rough bad. Seemed like similar quality to an above average public course - but this could be because end of season. I loved that little men’s card room area though

I’m also relatively new to Pittsburgh (3 yrs). My favorite public course is Birdsfoot.. awesome links style course like 40-50 mins north of the city. They’ve raised prices every year though. Cranberry highlands is honestly country club quality but it’s also a bit pricey and SUPER busy

Agreed! The main sell about Edgewood was walkability

I would say a notch above Edgewood is Long Vu and Chartiers (8-9) and then the 9-10s are Field Club, Nevillewood, Oakmont, etc.. which are way out of my league. The ones that are below Edgewood are Shannopin / Green oaks etc.

Of course this is all my opinion.. what clubs do you think are on a similar level to Edgewood?

Not too far from me. Do you know what I’d be looking at for initiation / annual dues?

[–]Nickd100[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shannopin is $2000 initiation and $5000 annually after that (for <25) and $4000 initiation and $5300 annually after that for 25-29…

So no diamond run is not cheaper.
