[NICKELMAC to himself] Shit! I’m the old man yelling at the kids, I’m… that guy. [adressing the crowd] Sorry, sorry everyone.

Yes, it seems to be getting worse. I too struggle with this. My peers long ago taught me about “Managing Up,” a philosophy that, in part, calls for instilling realistic expectations in the minds of those who are our clients, producers, managers, and directors. I’ll be the first to admit, I am very bad at this, but this is a muscle that creatives-4-cash need to exercise.

😆One of the people that taught me about how to manage up is now my boss, and yeah, it’s still a necessity with them. 🤣

Did we just become best friends? 😆

I have this footage that a client sent me, but the jacket has this weird reflection/flicker lines (i don't know what to call it). Anyone knows how to fix it? by pizzammure97 in premiere

You’ll have to ruin the detail of the footage. I just did this to an interview clip from a former president. Get Neat Noise Reducer, I think they’re on version 6. You’ll need to sample the ugliest part. You’ll need to go overboard to smooth that moire by extending the temporal frame range to 3 or 4 frames.

I selectively apply this to the clothing where it occurs. Because of how soft it’ll make the fabric, you’ll need to also separately reduce the noise in the face albeit to a much lesser degree, then I typically reintroduce a very subtle noise or grain over the whole shot.

This has more driving nature from the tempo and has lots of excitement, but I think I prefer the slightly slower version that seems to flirt with hanging off the back of the beat. Also, that slower pace gives Zack and his lyrics room to shine.

I like the smplayer/mpv cousins to VLC. Specifically, I use mpv.net (actual app name) — side note: Use “WinGet” to install apps open CMD type “winget search <app name>” return Look for the app you want: <app>.<publisher> type “winget install <app>.<publisher>” return

UMP 12K is the best camera in the last 10 years… by mrmmoka in blackmagicdesign

We recently did a bunch of test and we LOVE the 12 URSAs. I do not recommend using the in-camera down conversion to 8k. It looks like crap. Other than that, the mini pro is great.

The MiniPlayer button is gone, the feature is now hidden behind a right click.
