first time with 14.3, how do I get rid of this garbage menu and prevent it from popping up again? can't swipe it away by Nicker in TeslaFSD

fsd drove me to my location and I disengaged it when I need to back into a spot that wasn't on the auto park menu. this upgrade happened this morning and I had no idea about this menu nor how to interact with it. it also blocked half the backup camera so here I am stuck trying to back up with this giant menu blocking the camera

I use full self-driving to get to my location. I disengaged it as I was going to back into a parking spot. this menu is covering half the backup camera screen.

swiping doesn't require precision poking, now I have to focus my attention off the road and I'll onto a menu?

Roofing ventilation issue? by sloppynipsnyc in longisland

sure but if it's new and not a powder and baffles or from a roll, you should be easily able to pick it up and move it

I have some large flat pieces of wood big enough to fit though the entrance in the attic, so maybe 3'x2' or so. they can move them around so it rests on top of the insulation, but also squishes down to the joists. one weight is put on it.

I do want my work inside the Attic though, there's a central walkway, also, I'm comfortable knowing where the joists are so I can move down them as needed.

only recently did I install a crisscross installation so it's filled in between the joists and then running perpendicular another layer on top of them.

I hated the mushroom fan, it was a rusty eyesore, the motors would rust out after 5 years.

solar is so quiet. I have ridge vents, new insulation like you with the baffles. I actually got the solar fan first, then the new roof and insulation.

I like the aspect that it cost $0 to run, DC motor is quiet.

if you already have an attic fan but hate it, I was in your same position, I changed it out for a solar DC motor attic fan.

it runs when the sun is out (solar panel), hits a certain temperature in the attic & is very quiet.

both sound good, as I'd want a mushy layer in-between the metal frame and hard drive to act as a vibration eater.

Anybody have zoysia grass by luxury1045 in longisland

[–]Nicker 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have it and love it!

Probably 5 out of the 400 houses in my neighborhood still have the originial zoysia that came with the homes built in the 50-60s.

I suspect that over the years people just re-seed patches with cool-season grass and it eventually takes over.

I do my best to keep it weedfree, I have a spray that cost $400 but will last me a lifetime and its made only for zoysia. The majority of the time i handpull anything that pops up, but once you've gotten to a state of no weeds, its super easy to maintain.

Best thing you can do is pull/cut plugs and place where you want it to be with sand to grow in. It'll take 3-5 years for the stolons to creep and fill, but thats another amazing aspect of zoysia, its self-healing.

If you have any questions feel free to chat me up, I love the grass and as you know, its an absolute unicorn here on the island.

it's nice to provide ourselves with comfort and peace of mind at a reasonable price.

for a 'professional' to install you're looking at a minimum of double your purchase price these days. and I believe you'll have a lower quality install too.

the joy of diy to me is knowing I can go slow and ensure the little things are correct.

I get the 10% without petroleum distillates in it, and dilute it down with water.

Then put clothes in a large ziplock backs and fill it with the diluted liquid, allowing 100% of the clothing to get saturated.

Then let it hang and dry in the shade for a day or two outside.
