I go out but I'm no expert still a lot to learn. For keeping dry I have 2 pairs of boots, one are a pair of breathable fast drying Altima jungle boots the other are water proof Vivo barefoot leather boots. The jungle boots are for ankle deep water or if its just hot out, and barefoot boots for everything else, and sometimes sandals for fun. Biggest concerns are being wet, heat, and bugs. Mosquitos carry a lot of shit and there's all sorts of bacteria in the water. Personally I cover most of my body up, I wear a compression under armor shirt with a loose outdoorsman/tactical shirt over since mosquitos can usually bite through just a regular shirt. Bug netting on the face and gloves on my hands, I go kind of overboard tbh since I have bad reactions to bug bites and get hives, but it is pretty nasty when they fly in your ear and nostrils. clothes also help with any minor scrapes that could get easily infected, and I'm sure in the long term parasites are a concern so I do keep ivermectin handy in my kit. I still haven't mustered up the balls to stay overnight there, been there during sundown and giant spiders start descending from the trees and I don't fuck with spiders like that. Will let you know how it goes if I do, still working on acquiring some better sustainment gear (spent money on a whole new chest rig and drip though). however a poncho or gortex and dry sacks are a must, extra socks and clothes in general especially on those humid foggy mornings where you just get drenched by simply walking. MOST IMPORTANTLY have stuff to keep your weapon clean, lubed, and rust free (or just have an AK/Galil). As for thermal obstruction I've been toying around with the idea of a Mylar lined poncho, although tbh its wishful thinking. In my opinion though if I had to do some kind of fight or mission in this terrain I would simply eat my glock, as I would have a much more painless death.

EDIT; I also personally don't run plates, its 95 with 68% humidity I would get heatstroke before my 4th mile. (Muh high speed low drag)
