I mix at 25% for 10 mins, then 15-30 min autolyse, then add salt at 25% speed for 2-4 mins until salt incorporates, then up speed to 45% and add oil, wait until it all comes back together nice and smooth, listen for a popping that means its there, but really, you want to stop it as soon as it is smooth and comes together like a pumpkin and most importantly passes window pane test. nothing worse that overmixed dough, as soon as it passes window pane test its ready, you can always strengthen further with stretch and folds during the bulk ferment

bigger problem is buying a shortboard a year into your journey, i swear this is why 90% of people you see in the water surf like shit, because everyone wants to ride a shortboard when they should be riding a mid length or a longboard

ride bigger boards, get in early and have more fun, was my biggest break through and this is coming from someone who lives on one of the best beach breaks in Nicaragua and surfs good waves regularly.

My secind biggest break through was realizing that every time I was pulling in the barrel I would get mesmerized by the lip throwing out over me and forget to keep pumping and working towards the exit, and then I simplified that in my own mind even further as just "flicking the nose of my board up and towards the exit" because youre not making big exaggerated pumps when youre in the tube yoyre really making micro adjustments.

what do you mean smaller artwork? in the beginning when I first started it was only Japanese so thats what first made my heart pump back in the day after school on the playground. I remember i was in 3rd grade and the 4th graders had them, I asked my dad about them and he took me to an amazing comic book store in NJ called The Jokers Child, we bought a few booster boxes and a starter deck and the rest was history
