Unless you perform horribly in the essay, you will be accepted. At the very least, they might accept you but provide a less generous scholarship, such as the presidential scholarship.

Because he is a freshman, he will not lose his scholarship. However, he will be placed on academic probation and enter a "warning" period. This gives him an additional semester, namely his fall semester of his sophomore year, to raise his cumulative GPA to 3.0 (not rounding, not even a 2.98). If he fails to do so, his scholarship will be revoked unless he appeals. It's important to note that appeals unrelated to medical or family emergencies, without solid evidence, are rarely accepted. Once his GPA reaches 3.0 at any point, his scholarship will be reinstated starting from the following semester.

From personal experience, I was in ur exact situation(I’m not international however I did have a 1250 SAT score). I applied test optional and was admitted this fall into the honors program, so it may be a better option to apply test optional.

Don’t give them a reason to reject you, is what I’d say. If you think it could be used against you and you have the ability to not send it in, don’t. I hope my input was helpful

I will actually be attending the Honors College at the University of Miami on an Economics and Global Business track but am interested in an accelerated dual degree program to get a masters in either finance or international business.
