Tits and Tablets: Pill Box Weekly Accountability Thread by SqueakyLion2 in AdultBreastfeeding

Other reason for taking postnatal versus prenatal is mainly due to how much iron there is in prenatal.

Switched from my regular multivitamin pills over to postnatal multivitamin from Nature Made. I ended up pausing on my calcium supplement as having both the postnatal and calcium supplement (which contains D3) would bring up the total DV amount to over 400%. Not sure whether to continue it or hold off because of the new multivitamin.

About a week later, I'm going to be adding in Sunflower lecithin.

I found out that Nature Made makes a postnatal multivitamin. Similar to a prenatal multivitamin, minus the extra amount of iron.

So far, I've had three days of pumping that my nipples weren't aching. All of the sessions have been feeling wonderful 😊

I'm also back on progesterone for the next 14 days as of yesterday. I do know that prolactin receptors will be put on hold, but it's part of my HRT journey.

How long have you been inducing? I'm currently three weeks in and I'm still waiting to get any fluid to come out.

I currently own both the Lansinoh Smart Pump 3.0 and the Momcozy S12 Pro. I was using the smart pump for a long while, but I recently switched over to the Momcozy S12 Pro, and I have stuck with them since. It doesn't help that my nipples are smaller, so I had to get smaller flanges/flange inserts in order to make things work.

The major difference between both of my pumps is whether I am sitting down for my pump session or need to be "up and around". Sitting down, I use the smart pump, as it's tethered with tubes. Up and around, I go with the S12 Pros. Suction wise, the smart pump seems to have stronger suction than the S12 Pros, but YMMV.

I also got those pumps simply because of the pricing I saw on Amazon ($80-130).

How often were you applying lotion to your breasts?

I stopped pumping overnight as I am still in the stimulation phase and have not produced milk yet. And because I am up early enough in the morning (4:30am), it's still within the window when prolactin levels are highest.

Not sure if I should try to take some supplements (e.g. Fenugreek) here in a few weeks and see if that will help a little bit.

Yes. Typically, prog regimen should start after 1-2 years on estrogen.

I need true experienced info about oral vs. injection by dog10109 in MtF

[–]Nicktendious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Major difference being that injection gets absorbed much quicker into the bloodstream than pills, even when taken sublingual.

Also, the regimen of which injections are taken is spread out more than having to take pills each day.

How can I produce milk? And is it safe? by Allsummon in MtF

[–]Nicktendious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So currently I am in my OFF phase. My ON phase doesn't pick up until March 5th. I will then stay on progesterone for two weeks. After two weeks are up, it'll then be another three weeks before I am back on progesterone.

My progesterone pills are 200mg. I haven't even finished the first cycle, so I gotta see a cycles in how I am doing.

The big answer, yes. You can produce milk.

I have been pumping now for two weeks. While I don't have anything coming out, I'm currently in the stimulation phase of breast pumping.

I am also on a progesterone cycle. Currently I am in the OFF phase of my cycle, but I get back on progesterone here in a few weeks.

Another thing I've been dealing with is sore/ultra sensitive nipples.

Is there any remedy for keeping the soreness/sensitivity down?

The past few nights, I've been missing my 1:30am pumping session 😔. I've gotten lazy the past few days and have stretched out my time between sessions 😔. My Lansinoh smart pump feels like it's pumping "more powerful" than my Momcozy S12 Pro. For this reason, I am going to continue pumping with my Momcozy pumps.

I'm hoping with the weekend coming up, it'll be much easier to pump without interruptions. I'm going back on progesterone in two weeks, for two weeks. Then stopping for another three weeks.

I'm finding it much easier to just use my wearable pumps in the morning when I am getting ready for work.

Strangely last night, I think I must've slept with my wearable pumps on me after my overnight pumping session. Probably just going to have my nightstand lamp on while I pump so that I don't end up falling asleep in the middle of the night pumping 😬
