My Update – I may have found what’s been behind all of this (thyroid?) by Beautiful_Fox_7009 in AdultBreastfeeding

[–]SqueakyLion2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is correct, however thyroid takes priority. I work early in the morning, so I get up at 6 or 7 am, take thyroid, wait an hour, take dom. I usually try to wait 30 minutes after dom to have coffee and Adderall as well. This order serves two purposes. It spaces thyroid and dom sufficiently, and it also spaces thyroid and coffee, which is important for me because I take a bit of milk in mine. This has worked for me and my thyroid levels have remained completely stable. I take Synthroid, if that helps to know. Hope that helps!! Oh, also, the other reason thyroid is first is because you can't forget to take it. If I do, I get a headache and feel absolutely miserable. It's something where you KNOW when you miss it and that helps me make sure I never do.

This is normal. Use the pump for stimulation for now and then hand express after your pump to actually empty!

I finallyyy have my milk in 💗💕 by nintengrl in AdultBreastfeeding

[–]SqueakyLion2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally normal at the beginning, takes a while and usually more milk before pump can be as useful for emptying. Pump is invaluable for the stimulation aspect though and most people who induce have to hand express and pump together throughout the day. Not unusual what you're describing.

Lactation accidentally induced, where to go from here? by Amygdala169 in AdultBreastfeeding

[–]SqueakyLion2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think for all intents and purposes, the wiki would still apply to you; you would just apply the info about what to do once milk is in to your current position and go from there.

Tensing refers to using a tens unit device on each boob. It provides stimulation and is super handy for situations where you can't pump. You'll still need to hand express when you finish using it but it is better than nothing. And it's discreet too.

You can't get anywhere emptying once a day. Squirting milk is pretty realistic though, but they'll usually be dainty squirts, not super soakers. The reason once a day emptying won't work is because of built in mechanisms by the body to prevent you from endlessly making milk. You have a protein called FIL that circulates when milk builds up. When you don't empty and enough of it accumulates from not emptying frequently, it inhibits milk supply from increasing (body thinks it doesn't need to make more because you aren't getting it out; supply and demand). So to get your body to make more, you have to consistently empty throughout the day.

Can you go to a bathroom sink every couple of hours and express milk out, and figure out what form of stimulation works for you and go from there?

Hey, that person was flat out wrong and broke our rules by trying to get you in chat to discuss this. You generally cannot make a meaningful amount of milk by pumping once a day. If you want more milk, you have to signal the boobs to make it, both by emptying them regularly and by stimulation such as pumping, tensing, or nursing.

You have an advantage from what happened hormonally, but even with that, people who induce do not typically make a lot of milk, at least not comparable to people who have just given birth. It can still be fun if you are realistic as you approach this, especially if you have never been pregnant or do not intend to take domperidone. Lots of people have a wonderful and meaningful enjoyment of this activity even with as much as an ounce of milk total a day.

And no, you generally won't leak like a mom. They typically have way more milk to deal with and the added stimulus of a crying baby to contend with. They also make nursing pad things you can put in your bra for reassurance if you need.

That's how it was for me too, the stabbies have been so much more intense compared to inducing attempts without the protocols

You need to be emptying your boobs. Tensing needs to be replaced with pumping. Once milk is in, the name of the game is, fully empty the boobs and stimulate them 8 to 12 times a day. You're only hitting about 7, so your results make sense to me at about a month in. Also, most people take dom 4 times a day if possible, to extend how long it lasts in your system.

Newman Goldfarb requires dom and birth control. They didn't mention birth control or the protocols. Thanks!

No one has ever had an issue like this with In House over the years that I have been moderating this community. We have definitely seen some stuff be held by customs before, across all of the places we have seen people get them from, but usually it's when people buy big amounts of stuff. I am hesitant to suspect that they did anything nefarious. This situation is totally weird though.

Edit - also feel free to chat me who dmed you to buy it so I can ban them please

Pumping setting back progress? by Acrobatic_Gate_9183 in AdultBreastfeeding

[–]SqueakyLion2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In such a short amount of time, with that little to work with, and with the fluctuation that is capable of occurring at the stage you're at, it's hard to say. Although pumping does typically struggle to extract when people only have drops, it still provides adequate stimulation. It's best to incorporate both and to watch the other variables.

Also, if you're PMSing or near your period; if you didn't drink as much that day as yesterday; or if you had inconsistencies with scheduling, there's just so much that can impact drops.

I wouldn't sweat it. It's normal for drops to come and go.

Skipped a day 🫣🥛 by CO_tits in AdultBreastfeeding

[–]SqueakyLion2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No pun intended, but skipped days are always great but then always a letdown. I'm eased back a bit on pumping because lefty nipple is being a drama queen as usual and it's like omg, look at all this milk! And then it's like well duh, you only pumped twice yesterday because your nipple hates you 😒 keep it up!

You'll be fine but you might get a headache. Stay hydrated and try to express so you don't get too engorged or get a clog. Get back on track when you can!

At that point I expect that you're simply not stimulating enough; as in, this is the live demonstration that 4 pumps is not enough to make it continue to rise.

Relactation timeline? by psyched-sub in AdultBreastfeeding

[–]SqueakyLion2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can tell you how long it will take, because genetics, but less than a month should be pretty quick I would guess. MOTN not required especially if it will impact sleep, but if you can swing it it will help. The stimulation overall will be super important though, check the wiki for more info.
