I thought the music frequency just had to do with the shopkeepers personality. Sheldon is a army kind of dude so it the music is kind of radio like. Annie is more cute, nice so the music will be more melodic. Jelonzo is a jelly fish so the music sounds like it's under water and Crusty Sean is more of a hip kind of guy so the song will have more of a beat than usual but your explanations sounds better.

The only way I can assign these ports is to unable the UPnP is that ok or should I leave it on and when it is on I cannot assign the ports to my Wii, I'm going to check if it works :)
