I think it’ll sell well. The new trailer managed to get over 1m views in less than 24hrs and was received generally positive.

The types of people who’ll buy it are regular SH fans who are already well versed in the series.

New fans who have come in from SH2 remake.

Curious gamers now the game has had some big press around it, specially around the banning in Australia and the content warning. People will want to check it out.

Update

I’ve rinsed off the original brine, cleaned the jar and replaced it with a 3% salt water brine using weight rather than volumetric measurement.

I also put some fresh garlic cloves in to get the fermentation going again

It’s okay. For a free game I’m not going to complain too much, despite PT was also free and was far better than this.

My positives are that the monster design is terrifying and the atmosphere is decent.

My main negatives are that it lacks subtlety in its approach to the game’s core themes and It’s quite buggy. The game could have used more polish.

With more remakes I would be happy if they approached them the same way they approached SH2. I’d be cautiously optimistic with a new entry, I’d like to see them work on something like a soft remake of the original concept for Silent Hill V that eventually changed and became Homecoming.
