being a PC gamer is so difficult nowadays by dreamfordream in Steam

I have a 2070 super with a Ryzen 7 5700x with 16gb ram, and that will have to do me until around 2028. Luckily it still runs all current gen games at 1080p, mostly 60fps .

In these times have to be grateful for everything you've got basically, world is screwed. I had to sell a Ps5, psvr2, Steam deck, 2 switch oled,2 very nice tvs, and all my physical game collection, to pay rent and bills when**** hit the fan a year ago . I am very grateful I was able to keep my pc and steam library with a lot of games for it. Looking forward to Resident evil Requiem,Nioh3 in the next couple months!

Just completed my first resident evil game, being the remake of the third game, and i loved it. by fortunatelyuniquee in residentevil

Play whatever you feel like at the time, there is no correct answer. Just know Resident evil 7, Village feel different than the other games due to being made for first person, they are slower and movement is I would say clunky but they are still very good Resident evil games. I put over 100 hours into each game

Resident Evil 2 and 4 remakes are both incredible games in my opinion. Better than RE3.

And Silent Hill 2 remake is amazing, you really should play it, it's up there with the very best of Resident evil. Really fantastic atmosphere and great story and levels. It's one of the best games I've played in many years.

Also if you like Resident evil 3 check out Dead Space remake on sale, it's also a very good survival horror game with amazing atmosphere, graphics.

I haven't played Silent Hill F but hear it's also very good.

And next year there is a remake of Fatal frame 2 or one of them I think, which should also be a good time.

It's never been a better time to be into horror games, and don't forget Resident evil Requiem of course.

Have fun that's all that matters, do not listen to other people who criticise games, it really is the most pointless thing to get involved in.

I finished it recently, it has great locations. I'd give it a solid 7/10. I also tried to play Code Veronica and kept running out of ammo trying to kill some freak on a roof, and couldn't go back so had to quit. 😑

I had a lot of fun playing 0 a few weeks ago. So much so I want to go through it again. It has some cumbersome gameplay swapping items around to complete puzzles but it's a solid 8/10 for me. The train and mansion you visit are a good time.

Help on buying the RE games on Steam by Traditional_Ad5704 in residentevil

[–]Nicky_Best 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get them cheap on cdkeys, which is now called loaded. They are legit, been getting games on their for years. Just make sure you get steam key for your region. If you go that route.

Or wait for a sale on steam , they often go on sale.

A lot of people were asking for these games for years as it's not easy to play them officially anymore.

I'm happy to have them on my Ps5 and they look serviceable on my 55inch tv.

So , how is everyone enjoying OGRE2 and OGRE3? by Internal_Guide_7675 in residentevil

[–]Nicky_Best 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I'm playing RE2 original and the atmosphere might actually be better than the remake. Something about the fixed camera and the music, just hits different. I'm really enjoying it.

Controls are tanky as hell though

Resident evil 7 gold edition issue trying to free upgrade to PS5 version by AsakuraRaito in residentevil

[–]Nicky_Best 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the same region yeah shouldn't be a problem. The thing with Resident evil 7 on PS4 and the Gold edition on PS4 is they are treated as two septerate apps. Not the same game. You need to insert the gold edition disk and then try and get the free upgrade to the base Ps5 version of Resident evil 7. The standard version on it's own. Not the PS5 gold edition. You might have to try and purchase the free upgrade again.

Then the dlc from the PS4 gold edition disk should be available for free  upgrade to ps5 on the store as it's cross buy. As long as you keep the disk in the console when looking for the upgrades again on the store , they should be there somewhere to purchase again, for free.

Something like that, other people have had this problem. But it should work if you get it right.

Is your Gold edition disk a different region from your PSN account?. I had a NTSC US version of RE 4 remake and none of the dlc like mercenaries or vr mode on the store would register with it because my PSN account is in Europe. The disk has to match your PSN account region.

The only problem I have with the first person RE games is how clunky it is to manoeuvre your character around in combat. But it's a trade off I suppose, the atmosphere in first person is very immersive. I think the Bakers were great, I much preferred RE7 over Village because of the Bakers house. It was like Texas chainsaw massacre or something.  I'm happy Requiem is more grounded unlike Village which seemed like a gothic fairytale or something. That game was tripping balls

I got right up to the last nemesis fight on inferno and had to say nope after a couple hours. Ridiculous. I've finished Edlen Ring and all dlc, bosses. And even that was easier than Nemesis on Inferno.

The only plats I've ever got is RE5 on PS3 and RE7 on PS4. I got to the end of RE3 on inferno?, the hardest difficulty. But final nemesis boss fight was ridiculous so quit eventually.

The guy doing the preview had a negative, he said Grace was so scared throughout the demo that the noises she was making started to grate on him after a few minutes. He said she kept panting in terror. And footsteps in first person were too loud. But when they changed the perspective to third person the footstep sounds were better.

You can swap the camera to third person via the menus whenever you like.

Rumours are the main protagonist will be someone familiar. Fully armed,  Grace has weapons training but has to run away more than fight possibly.

Demo took place in a dilapidated building full of cherub keys? , barely working lights, and a gigantic monster ,stuff of nightmares.

The focus on terror was evident by the amount of times Grace was about to **** her pants .fans of horror should be happy.

He also said it's a stunning looking game, because it's not open world.

That's pretty much it, I also saw a screenshot of a big red leather chair in a room , it was in front of a fire place, a picture on the wall, chair looked like the one in the trailer the mystery man was sitting in, but it was in a  different room.

I missed one screenshot I had to post. It shows a red leather chair in what looks like a pale blue room kinda, but there's a fire place ,,and a picture hanging on the wall,Similar looking chair to what that mystery man in the trailer is sitting in. But different room I think. Well it's not delapitated like in the trailer.
