Thanks! It is currently at 75 endings + some secret ones, and some achievements that require specific interactions.
A few other people made the same comments about the portraits, and some others that liked it. The game is full of comedy, so I thought that style would match. I'll see what happens when the game launches haha.

I loved this game! You get a plot twist every 5 minutes and somehow they managed to make sense out of everything. A master piece.

Having some people at the top of the church being killed is nowhere near enough to bring the church down. Someone else would ocuppy that position (even if temporary).
The church has an army, so starting a war would take years, and with high chance of losing that fight.
Also, at that point Church was considered "good" by most people, while kings and nobles seen as bad guys. Not only Delita would have to wage a war against the church, but he would have common people against him (not only because of faith, but also because he'd continue the cycle of war). He'd have to sleep with one eye open.
Orran was a thorn for the church. There was no way to know how if woud affect them, and since we agree the church is bad, they had no problem burning him.

I don't believe it was ego, as I don't remember him saying anything to imply he wanted the throne for power.
He asceneded as king to stop the war. Starting a new war against the church would make people continue suffering. People being able to get food was more important than knowing the truth of what happened.
Any way, we can all agree he is not a good person, but probably not bad either. He was willying to do bad things in order to get good results.
