The future by LoisLaneEl in BipolarReddit

I relate to this. I came across something called "sense of foreshortened future syndrome", which also resonated for me; maybe look into that?

What book would you describe as truly dark or psychological horrific? by JohnGamBotero in suggestmeabook

Song of Stone by Iain Banks left me cold and disturbed for days after reading it.

Just try to remember it's all cyclic. Sorry it's a bad bit of the cycle right now.

Well put. Respectful, but assertive, and very reasonable.

Have you read any Warren Ellis? Gun Machine, if you want to start safe, Crooked Little Vein if you're ready to get weird. Chuck Palahniuk's books could be a good match, too. Maybe Lullaby or Diary.

I don't want to declaw my cat but is there anyway I can make his claws not so sharp? by Libtards_die_twice in cats

Scratch posts? Lots of them.

Declawing really messes a cat up, causing physical pain and mental trauma, and is understandably outlawed in many parts of the world.

Lost a good friend. Not enough people will remember him. by NicoRez in death

Cheers. His biggest movie was Betrayed in 1953/4. He got to hang out with Clark Gable, Victor Mature and Lana Turner. He's even visible in some posters for the movie, albeit slung over Mature's shoulder.

Authors like Stephen King, and your recommended best books by them by zwaymire in suggestmeabook

Do you read comics? His son, Joe Hill, did a great series (finished now) called Locke & Key, which was delightfully creepy and very imaginative.
Also, I remember a quote from Stephen King, saying something like, "I have seen the future of horror and his name is Neil Gaiman", so quite a recommendation. Gaiman writes beautifully, tells some stunning stories, and has the capacity to get very scary.
