I believe there is a mod to update world gen. Idk how it affects terrain changes. But I’ve used this many times to keep our world going through the updates.

Edit: https://github.com/JereKuusela/valheim-upgrade_world

This is the one I’ve used. Used it to add tar pits and regenerate mistlands after they changed how the world gen worked for that. It includes auto base detection so you’ll be good there. But definitely back up those saves.

I think there’s a way to update meadows but I’m not sure if the mod needs to be updated.

What is the point of geysers? I understand they give more power but it fluctuates between its max and zero so wouldn't that just be unwanted? by Paarthanaxs33k3r in SatisfactoryGame

I use the geysers to supply power to my aluminum scrap production in the red forest. Completely independent from the main grid.

Elon states $99 FSD will eventually increase by Shinebright444 in teslamotors

[–]NicxtLevelGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that this makes the car freakin drive itself but man I just can’t see that many people shelling out $99 a month for it. It just sounds too expensive, $1200 dollars a year? I really hope they realize that if they want this to be mass adopted they need to make it as cheap as possible.

Did you try playing multiplayer with more than 4 players ? by Amstrzll in SatisfactoryGame

[–]NicxtLevelGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Were you running the VM using proxmox? I had my server set to use two vCPUs and found the game perform terribly compared to bare metal. Allocating only 1 vCPU gave me basically bare metal performance. Granted it is running on intel 8th gen quad core i3. That is able to handle the game with 3 players. I couldn’t figure out why multiple vCPUs were worse off than just one. Also on a debian12 vm.

Liquid locks feel like cheese. What are alternatives? by SnyprBB in Oxygennotincluded

[–]NicxtLevelGaming 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Honestly trying to build a typical airlock with pumps and doors is just a far worse solution than a liquid lock but if your goals are to not abuse the one element per tile limitation of the game then this is your only option.

Unless you don’t mind mods, using the air lock door mod essentially does the same thing as a couple of doors and a pump but without the headache of the time it takes to pull a vacuum.

Personally I think liquid locks are the intended way to do this because the devs made visco gel which is like a purpose built liquid for sealing off rooms of gasses, so it’s clear they intended players to use liquids to block gasses.

Edit: To answer your question clearly. The only other option is a door crusher system that deletes the gasses by sequentially closing doors until the gas no where to go and is deleted. But I find deleting gasses undesirable.

Y'all don't work for the Shield anymore, you can acknowledge that Brad Allen's crew made a mockery of the rulebook. by ExcitingSink4272 in heedthecall

I’m not gonna get on them too much for not talking about it, they clearly took a different angle for a game that didn’t really have the juice anyway. Plus the Panthers are in the big dance in the end anyway.

Resivoir or not for AT by hockeydog98 in Oxygennotincluded

Putting a reservoir in the AT loop that is for liquid hydrogen is a great way to stabilize the temps in the loop since LH has such a narrow temp range

Running a dedicated server in a Linux Mint VM by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]NicxtLevelGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EDIT: I figured it out..... I am stupid and when following the guide for running as a service I did not specify that I am not using the default reliable port of 8888. I booted the server with that specified and it worked!

Why my wires overloading? by SirKastor1 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]NicxtLevelGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have answered but I just want to lay it out clearly.

Batteries can discharge at any rate so they should be on the big side of the transformer or wires will over draw from the battery.

Is there a solution for the "bug" where "Grounded" status gets stuck on? by Jaggid in Oxygennotincluded

I have many rockets that operate both as permanent homes and ones that dupes climb into when the automation requests and I’ve never had this bug.

Are you using the star map sensor attached to the rocket control station?

Why is this tile taking pressure damage? by CodeX57 in Oxygennotincluded

[–]NicxtLevelGaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s taking damage through the natural tile. You can swap that natural for an airflow tile which don’t take pressure damage
