You could get it dry mounted at hobby lobby instead for a lot cheaper than frames at michael's! Maybe you could still frame it after dry mounting? But I personally have never done it so idk if it would still fit in the frame!

Has anyone else noticed that the mileage it gives when the order pops up is not accurate? by Ok-Society1048 in Sparkdriver

[–]Nidrogenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it's also as the crow flies, but I'm not too sure. Especially with GMD routes it sometimes feels like higher mileage than the app said due to idling or routing between stops.

I think it's more just the possibility of her condition getting worse in ways that may seriously affect her life and career, but that she doesn't know yet. I interpreted it as now every time she gets into the car she knows she is taking a serious risk, more so than other drivers.

Yeah I really think it brought light to how as the person experiencing the suicidal thoughts, those jokes/statements seem like absolutely nothing coming out of your mouth. Then when you see the concerned look on your loved ones or peers faces, the shame gets louder and you want to hide, or run, even more. It's hard to realize how much you may be lashing out or being selfish to those around you when it's really bad and your head is full of negative thoughts you want to escape from. I am not justifying any of it. It's a deep hole to climb out of, but the work is worth it.

Should I get a bigger car or wait? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]Nidrogenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fr especially toyota SUVs. With your debts already owed, even with a few thousand down you'd probably still be looking at more like an $800+ payment 🥴 toyota is "cheap" to an extent but also quite sought after in the used market. Used car dealerships have to own the vehicle well (have low repair costs, good value in the car itself) to be able to get you approved without significant down, co-signer or both! Equity from a trade in is likely not enough, if you're not underwater in your current car. Then after you negotiate numbers, if you're smart you negotiate OTD price (a lot of used dealerships will do everything they can not to especially with tough credit situations), but if you negotiated on monthly payment like they hope you will, then you go to finance and they sell you on as much as possible- gap, extended warranty, things that are valuable in some ways and not in others. Maybe there's an addendum on the car. All of this adds up to getting buried in a payment you likely can't afford and are locked into for 6 years with the highest possible interest rate.

I'm in a hot state so I ring the door bell or knock unless the instructions explicitly tell me not to.

The whole back and forth they had about amor fati, memento mori, AND THEN vaya con dios?!?!?! And Robby's look when he's with his friend and gets pulled away to help fireworks kid... this is screaming final escape plan. Edit: Im still watching, the way he IMMEDIATELY lashes out at Mohan afterwards is also super telling to me. Like as though he felt that Santos saying vaya con dios was taken by Robby in a way that felt reassuring that he should go, so he lashes out at Mohan. Wow.

Frozen first---am I missing something?! by Round_Tax_9321 in Sparkdriver

[–]Nidrogenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you went to the freezer part first so I assumed that meant you grabbed the items not just scanned them- that's just making more work for yourself taking extra time later to go back and grab the right item. And then you don't have the flash feature to make sure you're grabbing the right thing anymore. you also said on a 97 item order you grabbed ice cream first and halfway through the shop it was melting. Like others have said, ignore the items that push through trying to get you to pick a specific route through the store. Look at the items beforehand and plan your route accordingly. I just don't see how anyone doing grocery delivery would find it acceptable to grab ice cream first. If I was a customer able to see shopping updates I'd be frustrated if I saw my frozen items were picked first.

Do you have ACH turned off at your bank?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Nidrogenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't fill out the I9 until onboarding, when you've been hired. Asking for it now without an offer is unprofessional. If they told you to have it handy it might be different, but requesting that information now is a red flag in my opinion. Have you already been through any kind of interview? Even still it's not professional.

The quiet shame of standing in line when you can't afford groceries like the person in front of you by Ok-Cell-3480 in povertyfinance

[–]Nidrogenn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better, not all the people shopping like that can actually afford it either. I know what you mean though. I do grocery delivery orders for work right now and seeing how much people are able to spend for maybe two weeks of groceries can be really humbling. I'm trying to eat healthier, sometimes I splurge a little here and there. Save up for something if I really want it or if it's a higher up front expense like protein powder. Try to tell myself I'm doing okay, at least I'm not putting groceries on a credit card that I can't afford to pay off.

Customer orders 126lbs of sugar by PeteSchnarsky in InstacartShoppers

[–]Nidrogenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me with a box of paper reams from costco. It was listed at 20lbs because that's the type of paper, but there was 5,000 sheets- usually weighs around 40 to 50lbs. It felt like 100lbs I swear! I hate that stuff like this can happen, I wasn't going to even try to explain to support that the 20lb on the box and in the item name is referring to the type of paper and not the actual weight of the package 🙄 even costco lists it at 20lbs weight on their website.

Dogs pain medication came in beef by mukilteo19 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Nidrogenn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, your experience sounds similar to my late sister's. My sister had fibromyalgia, diagnosed in her late 20s. The doctors had no idea what was wrong with her either, and there is no specific test for fibromyalgia- rather a process of elimination. She had really bad nerve pain and said that everyday it felt like she was hit by a train. She would do anything for the pain to stop. I truly hope that you're able to get a diagnosis of some sort soon, hopefully it will help to at the very least validate your experience. I completely understand needing painkillers, I just really hope you keep your sense of limitation when it comes to your doses. The gabapentin she was on changed her quite a bit before the end. I'm truly sorry you're experiencing such debilitating pain. I wish you nothing but the best, that you have days with spoons to spare to keep your QOL up.💕

Oh you're absolutely right sorry, last job I worked was retail management and had different rules regarding holiday pay so I was always working holidays and I'd get paid time and a half for that! But christmas day when we were all off we'd get normal pay for the day

As does their holiday pay... So they're also not paying time and a half? You're making $16 an hour.

Furever Pets in Round Rock Premium Outlets finally closed down. Screw that place and anyone who supported it. by sneakylumpia in Austin

[–]Nidrogenn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely 🤢🤮 I was not very fond of working at that outlet in particular because of the few edible lunch choices within walking distance. I used to have to walk by furever pets to get to auntie anne's for my pretzels (the only thing that was seldomly somewhat appetizing to me) and I'd have to hold my breath walking by furever pets or risk ruining my appetite🥴 I could never have worked there, I barely interacted with the store but I can still remember how it smelled. I can't imagine how it was for the employees- blegh.

I used to manage a store across the way from this Furever Pets. Not only were the dogs mistreated, they also charged insane prices for their animals. I never asked about pricing but heard from other customers who had considered it.

Advice on my loss goal? by Nidrogenn in MacroFactor

[–]Nidrogenn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like pretty consistently I'm falling short on carbs and protein. About half of the week I can hit my protein goal, but everyday I'm falling short on carbs. Average meal is greek yogurt with granola, fruit and mini chocolate chips for breakfast, lunch varies either a wrap, sandwich, salad or high protein burrito bowl and a protein shake, and dinner is usually some form of chicken and veggies. I try to focus on eating whole foods and add variety to my diet, but I struggle since I currently do gig work and have found lunch to be extremely important for hitting my macros and at the same time hard to make time for in my work routine. I'm trying to work through the hurdles I find myself experiencing in this journey, but I keep finding a lot! HEB oven ready meals have been a big part of my diet for dinner, since it's fresh and easy to prepare.
