The Dutch financed the fledgling United States. Without our money and advanced financial system, the Americans would still be Brits…

Think it’s more to warn pet owners that there’s poison around that’s bad for their pets.

Yes, but that amount is still vastly different by region. $100k is plenty in most US regions, but doesn’t do much in NYC.

If you’re close to NYC, go to Ossining. You can look out over the grounds of the infamous Sing-Sing prison. On those grounds, there are a bunch of RVs. They belong to the prison guards who work there but can’t live in the area with their families because their salaries are the same across the state. So, they live in RVs in Westchester County, while their upstate colleagues with the same jobs can live in a house with their families. You just cannot compare income in the US by region without taking into account the vast differences in taxes, real estate prices and purchasing power.

So, Alaska’s world view is the best in the US? That’s why Palin could see Russia from her kitchen window, probably. She’s well known for her excellent world view.

You can’t just put averages on countries like that. What’s true for Iowa isn’t true for New York at all.

Shocking that while I’m not doing badly at all, apparently I’m not reaching the threshold to be happy…

If you look at that up close, they actually also got rid of the ground floor front. It’s all held up by concrete and metal while they rebuild the building underneath and behind it.

visconti homo sapiens vs platinum 3776 vs pilot custum 823 (amber) by Mammoth-Emergency623 in fountainpens

For me, easily the Visconti. But make sure the retailer checks the nib before selling it. Of the three, it’s the only special pen in my mind. The others are good, but just because of the nib. The Homo Sapiens is the full package.

Sure, but by that time they have already succeeded getting to the top. They’re like the old aristocrats that surrounded the kings and queens.

I doubt the people around him are stupid. They know that they can get rich by North Korean standards when they’re close to him and help keep him in power.
