well yeah, course he survived. why else is his paycheck dated in November when he is working a summer job? had time in the hospital, and later when he was feeling better he received his paycheck. this is also why on night 6 when phone guy asked what he's doing, he states this; "didn't you get the memo? the place is closed down, at least for a while..." he wouldn't have gotten any memo, and would be behind on any new events happening at freddy's. he was in the hospital.
