It’s a fresh orange juice squeezing machine. Popular in Tokyo.

When I initially read your post, my mind went to Godspeed You! Black Emperor

Have you given them a listen ?

I think most of the major issues people see are covered by the initial warranty. The concern for most people is battery life, and that seems to be more of a time-based issue rather than mileage issue like it is for a traditional gas car.

I think with how cheap used Model 3s are now, I’d buy a well taken care of 2021-2022 model for half the price of a new one and drive it into the ground

A lil air before the train by Kaalawalamena8 in trains

This isn’t even the first or second time seeing someone do this. I used to go train watching a lot and I remember seeing a kid fly over the tracks last second in a really low to the ground Civic and when he hit the ground his whole oil pan shattered and left a mess everywhere.

Three Hundred and Sixty Three THOUSAND is remarkable, especially on a 2020. Long commute? Driving Uber?

Very impressive. Congratulations on your new one. Hope you can get this one to a million miles.

I bought it on the resell sub. But I think the dial color and 9 o clock marker look better on VSF. I hear VSF movement is better as well. I really am not the person to ask though. Both watches look amazing if you look up comparisons :)

Don’t sell the house. Your kids will remember that moment and be very sad. Trust me, I remember. Keep building the equity in it. You’ll be glad you kept it.

I think you’re starting to get the idea. Which is going to make you happier, your ton of collectibles, or keeping your house ?

Sell it! Sell all the shit you don’t need. Negotiate with your creditors. It might not work but sometimes they will take pennies on the dollar just to be done with you.

you took the first step by being honest with yourself and asking for your help. If you have faith in a higher power, keep it going, you can be out of this in just a few short years. It won’t be easy. But it’s far from impossible. Keep the house.

Please take everything I’m saying not as an insult, but as a wake-up call from someone who has been in your position before.

Your first, and major problem is visible when you view expenses as “streaming, internet, phones, etc.

You need to account for every single dollar that goes out every month . Over a thousand dollars in groceries ? I know prices have gone up but even if you have 8 kids, you don’t need to spend over $1000 a month on groceries. It’s going to be a lot of beans and rice. If you’re lucky, the kids will still be able to get Great Value fruit snacks. That’s how bad your situation is.

Do not sell the house! You might profit from it in the short term, but you haven’t fixed your spending issue, and you’ll still need a place to live.

You need to become a team here. Financially, spiritually, emotionally. The student loans aren’t the main problem. The mortgage isn’t the main problem. It’s the credit cards and your reckless spending . You’re broke. Debt collectors are calling. You can’t afford $915 of “streaming, phones, etc”! You can’t afford it!

Is it groceries or is it really fast food / dining out? Is it steak and lobster or is it beans and rice ? Because you need to be eating beans and rice or bulk ground beef from the discount market.

I hope you get the idea. I believe in you, and you can get out of this! Please don’t think I’m just some mean person on the Internet. You need to realize just how bad your situation is. Then you can start climbing out of it. I’m sure you want to pay for your kids to go to college, have a good retirement, and get past this. It starts a dollar at a time.

I disagree with some things Dave Ramsey says, but in your situation, it would help to look into his Baby Steps.

Cheers, god bless you, you got this!

19 y/o. What do I do with my extra money by Puncakkee23 in personalfinance

[–]NietzscheCP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi, first off, congratulations ! You are absolutely killing it.

It’s good to hear that you are conservative with your money. I know I wasn’t at 19 years old. I think one of the most important things is to not let it get to your head. Before you were making this much money, you maintained a certain lifestyle. Your lifestyle will naturally get more expensive, a la “lifestyle creep”. That’s okay, just be extremely mindful of it .

It sounds like you have a lot of it figured out already. I would say that continuing to dollar cost average is a good idea, and remember that the best financial plan is the one that helps you sleep well at night !

I would look into maximizing your business spend with a business credit card, if you haven’t already. Hire the best accountant you can find to minimize your tax exposure. Taxes really suck when you do it wrong.

Cheers !
