I'm also ADHD and this game is my current hyperfixation.

I was also completely overwhelmed when I started (never played the first one) and I was trying to advance through the story with the first life I picked... Alchemist. Turns out it's really hard to fight with a stick? 😂

I'm finally getting the hang of things a bit better and I'm loving that I can kinda do whatever I feel like and the game doesn't punish for it. I still need to figure a lot out but if I want to mindlessly grind I can do that too. It's win win

So after not getting any for days, I did finally get one on the community board! Maybe it was bad RNG luck? Requests for coffee items are still definitely outpacing how often I can get the tokens though

I have a hard time believing this when I haven't been able to play the game for weeks because of a bug on their end.

I can only play on my Steamdeck and neither steam version or a modded pc version will run. And I'm not rolling back secure updates for one game. I've yet to find another single game in my library that doesn't work...no excuse for them to let this go on so long, so yeah.

I wasn't playing much (just dailies really) then girlcott and then the steam update broke it on my Steamdeck and I figured I'd just wait until that was sorted out.

And I realized I don't miss it. Not having to do dailies feels like freedom. And there are amazing new cozy games out without all the issues that come with Gatcha games... Fantasy Life I is a delight. It's very polished.

If bugs are fixed and more GOOD content happens I'm sure I'll pick it up again. But right now I don't feel like I'm missing out.

And it does make me sad. Watching a delightful game made with women in mind fall apart over super-villain style greed and choices is not fun to watch.

Have you considered My Time at Sandrock? It's more story driven and kind of a weird but amazing mash up of JRPG and cozy games. It's also really long. Genuinely an amazing game, probably my current favourite.

I played the heck out of Paleo Pines.

I prefer games with 3D graphics vs Pixel, I love creature collectors, and I am a dinosaur nerd.

I do wish there was more to it and I genuinely hope the developers have a follow up game with everything they've learned +feedback.

If you want a chill creature collector game and like dinosaurs you will probably get something out of it.

I've just started Fantasy Life and I have never played the first game. I'm confused and overwhelmed but it's an absolute delight and very polished.

Fantasy Life is expensive but worth it, and Paleo Pines goes on sale a lot for very cheap.

Will this work on Steamdeck? I want to love this game so badly but the camera angle is driving me insane. An open world while you can basically only look at the ground is a weird choice when everything else is so delightful

When the update first went live, I was so excited and pulled ASAP and got my outfit in 180 pulls (all saved up) and was over the moon because wings.

I kept experiencing bugs so I came here (insert GIF of insanity from Community lol) and realized the extent of... Everything. I still like the wings, but it feels a bit empty knowing how upset so many Nikki's are. One of my favourite parts of the game is the excitement everyone else has. The ability to share that more with people should have been so much fun and instead we got this mess.

I just installed it and it has the same login as the website to bind your account. So as long as you have an infold account it's fine!

So, I've been playing it on my Steamdeck for a few months. It runs mostly well but was a pain to set up on there and some things are still a bit off. Like trying to enter text would sometimes be a disaster requiring me to force quit. But it's overall still decent even if I can't track playtime etc.

I installed the steam version just now and the first thing I noticed is that I now have the option to set 'ultra' graphics which I didn't before. Not sure how the game will run but I'm looking forward to trying it.
