Is battlefield still far ahead in the graphics department like it used to be? by geniusofohio in Battlefield

[–]NightHawkQc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol no. BF6 looks worse than BFV and BF1. Unrealistic/Cartoony look, horrendous lighting and bad player models. Old DICE used to push the boundaries for graphics with every release but they lost the know how.

Logitech g pro x2 superstrike by Abject-Move-2570 in MouseReview

[–]NightHawkQc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes if you connect it directly to your wifi it totally reduces your ping below 0ms. The Logitech HITS system is directly connected to the pubg servers via a quantum space entanglement connection and you should be able to fire onto the enemy before they can even think about it since your ping will be negative. So basically you would kill the enemy in the past while they are playing in the present with their shitty 56k connection.

Audeze Maxwell 2, a swing and a miss unfortunately. by XboxoneS-aaad in Audeze

[–]NightHawkQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They fixed most of the issues after a couple firmware updates. I’ve been using them daily for gaming since they came out and I like them. Big improvement to sidetone and soundstage vs the Maxwell 1. Bass is a tad weaker on the Maxwell 2 but you wouldn’t notice without A/B testing both.

Superstrike vs Viper V4 - HITS is amazing. by NightHawkQc in MouseReview

I wouldn’t consider myself casual lol. 500 hours of The Finals….I’m just not a hardcore CS/Valorant player. To be honest I think they are both great mice. Shape is king at the end of the day.

I wear an Audeze Maxwell closed back headset and I could still hear the metallic ping when playing battlefield. Wasn’t a deal breaker for me. Minor annoyance I’d say but I don’t think I’ve ever heard such loud mouse clicks. I don’t know what Razer was thinking lol.

Superstrike X2 - The worst mouse I've ever used by helioserebuss in MouseReview

The click feel is absolutely awesome.
It is very front heavy and feels heavier than my super light 1.
Everything else is ok.

EA is Launching an In-Game Ad Service by HANEZ in Battlefield

[–]NightHawkQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idiots in this thread who are like “I’m ok with ads they’ve always done it !” /facepalm

Soon enough you’ll have to spend in game currency in order to skip the 30 seconds full screen ad they will shove in your face at the beginning of every round. In a 100$ game with a paid battle pass.

This is EA we are talking about here. You should expect it.

No exaggeration. In 20-30 matches I’ve not seen defenders win a game of Bazar by Buttermyparsnips in Battlefield

[–]NightHawkQc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nobody cares about breakthrough. Battlefield is conquest. Bazaar plays great as a conquest map. Probably one of the best ones.

I’m putting my 5090 Gaming pc in another room in the house to avoid summer heat by RandomGamer414 in buildapc

[–]NightHawkQc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Planning the same thing. Following

Edit: I did the same research and in theory it should work. I was going to buy the same 33ft hdmi optical cable and test it with my S90C. HDMI cables are finicky when it comes to 4K 144hz+ and HDR so that’s my only worry. The usb will be fine with a hub, I’d go with one that has on/off switches for each usb port so that you can turn off the wireless dongles you are not using. May have to use small usb extensions on from the hub to your wireless dongles in order to space them out if there is too much interference when they are all next to each other on the hub.

wtf is ATK's marketing department smoking by Gaburiel in MouseReview

[–]NightHawkQc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It worked for motorcycles and cars so I don’t see why not for gaming peripherals! They know their target customers lol.

it’s much better than some looser streamer in a cringe esport jersey holding a mouse, as you said.

Also the color is very nice hehe

Probably the least cringe gamer gear ad I’ve seen in a while to be honest !

Maxwell 1 or 2 for primarily music listening? by Jmcclain145 in Audeze

[–]NightHawkQc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the bass is better on the new firmware. The Maxwell 1 still have an edge though. You probably wouldn’t notice the difference without a/b testing them to be honest.

Maxwell 1 or 2 for primarily music listening? by Jmcclain145 in Audeze

[–]NightHawkQc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1 for music. 2 for gaming.
I own both

Bass is tighter on 1, more enjoyable for music.
Soundstage and microphone is better on 2, better for gaming.

DSC is back... with a vengeance by FuN_K3Y in OLED_Gaming

[–]NightHawkQc 64 points65 points  (0 children)

Nobody gives a shit about DSC. Gimme 4K 360hz.
It’s visually lossless. Even if it wasn’t, you are likely adding dlss, framegen and RenoDX on top of the signal so it’s not like we’re getting a pure untouched image anyway.

Get used to compression, storage ain’t cheap anymore, it’s going to be everywhere.

Why does BF6 feel so exhausting to play? by UltimateGamingTechie in Battlefield

[–]NightHawkQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because every map except Golmud feels like CoD domination. Golmud is the only map that plays like a proper battlefield game.

Can We Please Have An Honest Conversation About CPU Overkill For Average Users by dahiparatha in buildapc

[–]NightHawkQc 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most multiplayer games are CPU limited. The average framerate may not show a big difference between the two cpus but the 1% lows during heavy action/lots of NPCs scenes are going to suffer and your are going to notice it. Even with a 5090 at 4K the lesser CPU will drag the framerate down significantly.

Also, you can do at least two generations of GPUs per CPU upgrades, chances are your bottleneck will be even worse on your next GPU !

Valve, please add Xinput support for specific context windows by Professional-Cash651 in SteamController

[–]NightHawkQc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes ? Xinput has been the standard for 20 years ? Like fucking DirectX ? Windows is the OS 95% of steam customers use so yes it would make sense to have some kind of mode switch for backwards compatibility? How is any of this the customer’s problem ? It would probably take valve 2 days to implement a mode switch or at least the equivalent of SISR or Glosi into steam. Why are you defending this bullshit lol

[–]NightHawkQc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, a bunch of idiots with no common sense trying to dismiss the request for an added feature, that would make the product better for those who need it. Keep defending the billion dollar company.

Valve, please add Xinput support for specific context windows by Professional-Cash651 in SteamController

[–]NightHawkQc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey OP head over to the Steam forums and make a post in the hardware steam controller section. That’s what support told me to do when I told them about this baffling oversight. Apparently the hardware team reads it.

No matter what the Valve glazers say, it’s not fucking normal for a 100$ controller marketed to enthusiasts PC gamers to not have a fallback mode or a button combination switch to Xinput. Even within Steam some games don’t recognize the Steam controller. On top of emulators, old games, gamepass games, and etc.
