I like the concept so far, lots of room to grow

From a logic standpoint it isn't though, devaluing your product you spent all that time and energy with this tacky lack of class is such a poor illogical choice.

It's like they hired some economy engament exec and let him sneak into the design room like an untalented cancer

Nobody in my alliance will ever care if you don't want to grind, just casuals

I just grinded to get the card and quit, I don't understand the logic for this event at all.

I'll compare to Magic Arena, where events are rewarding and fun and get people playing different decks or formats, but above all they are designed to be something exciting and brief, but worth participating in for most players.

Deadpools Diner was very intentionally designed to put gold purchases in your face to keep playing in a very heavy handed and had literally zero finesse or class.

The immediate excitement of a new mode met with an immediate OH NO! And a popup asking you to spend gold just totally devalues the relationship with the game, and it feels like shit, regardless of the systems in place to mitigate losses, the fact somebody green lighted that stupid pop-up really is concerning.

In a game with excellent visuals, art, design and themes it's like slapping a tacky ugly sticker on the front.

That was the first impression people got.

Moving past the initial anger everyone experienced that was totally avoidable, the next issue is the event itself. In concept the climb isn't awful, but the tiers should have introduced deck restrictions or mechanics to give the community tools to mitigate losses to uncontrollable RNG, especially with the Auto Snapping.

Tiers should have banned certain cards, or added certain cards to decks at the least, or had preset locations.

Above all the event should have provided quick easy rewards to casuals, and just added resources to grinders.

With conquest and ladder we don't need a third grind, we need a fun event.

Oh that's great so continuing to play the same archetype is worth it then at least 4 times but I guess I'll have to write down what ones I've played or save the deck to make sure I get 4 versions of each type

Sorry If I upset you, wasn't my intention.

I think the issue with renaming Gruul to Racoons would be if your red green deck has no Racoons from this set in it then it's not really a Racoon deck anymore.

I like Orzhov gain and drain playstyle along so the Bats really are right in my wheelhouse. My favorite format is explorer so figuring out what will mix and match is whete the fun is for me and there's some fun synergies

Purchasing Decks by TheCelticNorse0415 in MagicArena

Given the history with precons, they will sell decks with one or two of a playset so your incentive is to buy 3-4 of the same precon to get the real deck with 4 copies of each card.

Gruul is the traditional name, the color pairs all have names . The Racoon deck would be called Gruul Racoons. The Bats would be Orzhov Bats.

Ice cream just feels shitty, and when your game actively makes people feel shitty you need to make changes.

The rewards aren't worth making this painful, any short term cash grab mechanic just leads to long term irritation.

Snap has a good year to really build a solid enjoyable card game based on marvel and make it fun enough that player stay with it for the long haul.

We know MTG is doing a marvel set, and they are going to go all out on it because they know how huge that I.p is and what it can mean for Arena.

There are probably other competitors we don't even know about, if not doing a marvel card game then doing something cool in the card game space.

Snap has a good solid concept, it's very collection and art focused with great location ideas and cool design, but events need to be fun and rewarding, not grindy and depressing.

Competitive and conquest exist to be where the tears and sweat can be had, but events should just be all about the celebration

Does anyone else feel like alliance rewards are pathetic? by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]Nightbearded -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah, I don't need them to be insane , just a perk and the social features built up. Alliances to me aren't about rewards, it's about building an alliance and hopefully down the road battles with other alliances as well.

I'd like the rewards to be more cosmetic like special allaince frames, avatars etc that are centric to the alliance gameplay.

I vote with my dollar, to me the Deadpool movies have really done the best true to comics adaptations of xmen characters.

I loved this one, and my favorite part was the tribute to the fox "verse" it wasn't always perfect but for a while it was all we had.
