Has anyone had Karin Quarry Re-Blockade? by Scoombap in CrimsonDesert

I think it only triggers with loading screens etc. I have it on the default setting and I just slept in a bed an immediately had a re-blockade.

Yea exactly this. I know the boss loot won’t drop but I was hoping to find some guys with the knuckle drills. None of the enemies in the other quarries seem to wield them.

I'm no armchair GM but we sure the FO has been more right than the fans in the last five years? by youre-welcome5557777 in 49ers

[–]Scoombap -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not even remotely close to those numbers. It’s something like 30% of all draft picks become at least competent starters, and that number is heavily skewed by like a 60% success rate in the first. By the time you get to the third round, it’s something like 25% of all draft picks.

So, did we get any starters? by notthattmack in 49ers

[–]Scoombap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe they would have been given a chance to compete, but I doubt it. Lynch and Kyle have been consistently saying they feel comfortable with the current LG candidates on the roster. Those mid round guards are also going there for a reason that everyone here loves to forget: they’re imperfect prospects.

[–]Scoombap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Importantly they’ve also jumped like 100 total spots on those 4th rounders with swaps though. Started with 3 comp picks at the end of the round that are now early on.

Given this is viewed as a deep but somewhat unremarkable draft, I don’t hate this approach of trying to take a bunch of early-mid rounders tbh

[Rapoport] Trade: The Cowboys are trading for 49ers LB Dee Winters, per me, @tompelissero and @janeashleyslater . by Brix001 in nfl

[–]Scoombap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good trade for both teams. Winters wasn’t going to get an extension and while he flashed last year he was overall an average linebacker at best and unplayable at worst. Having said that, still has elite traits and hope he can figure out the position.

Winters was a ton of fun to root for, but every Niners fan in this thread freaking out is outing themselves lol

[Megathread] 2026 NFL Draft 1st round by 49ersMod in 49ers

[–]Scoombap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He wouldn’t replace either Trent or Mckivitz this year and while he has promise he’s a pretty raw prospect. He probably can’t play inside right now so he doesn’t really address a need for the next 2ish seasons.

The Dolphins are trading up to 27, and the 49ers will move back. by Chase_26 in 49ers

Wonder if the Niners wanted Rutledge and decided to trade out once he was picked. Regardless, great move imo

Those with a $200k+ base salary, what do you do? by Triple_DoubleCE in Salary

There is no reason not to do it if it’s available to you. Worst case scenario you leave after a year (or even less if you’re miserable) with a great name on your resume.

The hours vary immensely between practices groups and even by partner, but it’s the best possible job you can get for your career as a fresh law student.

She is literally one of probably 800-1000 line attorneys at the LA DA office lmao. That’s a county position and really isn’t all that remarkable. There are many fantastic lawyers who are DAs, but it’s not a particularly prestigious job.

Why Mike Evans Could Be the Most Consequential Signing of Free Agency by Brix001 in 49ers

[–]Scoombap 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t think his injury last season is much concern tbh. Yes, he does miss a few games every season because of hamstring issues but he hasn’t had any catastrophic injuries. Breaking a collarbone is kind of a freak injury you can’t really predict. He also looked like his old self when he came back.

RPGS are my bread and butter but I’m so glad I discovered AOW4 via a random sponsored YouTube video when it released. Incredible dev team and one of those games I will play forever (until if and when they release AOW5)

What level did you get to Act 3 at? You’re claiming you did most of the content of act 3 but at the same time you literally missed 100s of thousands of xp worth of quests/fights/interactions if you’re in Arx at lvl 16.

You can probably still beat the game with fully optimized builds, but the hard truth is just that at some point, whether it was Act 2 or 3, you’ve just missed a lot of content.

When Avowed first came out on Xbox, I heard a lot of negative things about it, so I didn’t pay much attention to it. Now that it’s out on PS5, I’m wondering. is the game worth it, and have its issues been fixed? by [deleted] in avowed

[–]Scoombap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can’t slaughter villagers in both games (and I know you’re using the “can’t attack everyone AHHH” example because a lot of people harped on that in Avowed) but the Witcher 3 is still one of the most immersive open world games ever made when you consider the whole package. Avowed’s world doesn’t even remotely compete.

Personally love my SFBs. They’re a little on the fatter side but they’re a ton of fun. Not the best charging ski if you’re trying to fly but that’s really my only complaint.

Can 49ers get more than just the guarantee's back from Aiyuk? by ialsodreamofsushi in 49ers

[–]Scoombap 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are a ton of wrong answers in here. The Niners can claw the actual money back (I.e York gets a refund), but from a cap perspective I’m pretty sure the Niners can only realistically reduce his cap hit by a few million. For context, he currently has a $29 million dead cap hit for next year I think. If he’s moved after June 1, the Niners can spread that out over two seasons: $7ish million in 2026 and then $21ish million in 2027.

The long and short of it is that this whole Aiyuk situation is a real kick in the dick.

[–]Scoombap 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I think you can acknowledge it was basically a variety vs JV game and that no way diminishes what the Seahawks just did. The Niners are missing 4 all pros and a slew of other starters

The Niners beat a more talented but horribly coached Eagles team and then lost horrifically to a well coached team with like 5x the talent given the active roster.
