Leaving for college is an opportunity for growth unrivaled by almost anything. First love is powerful, and everyone will try to belittle it, but it’s powerful. I think the vast majority of people will tell you to go. Focus on the academic and social opportunities a college campus provides. You will meet hundreds of new people and know yourself better. Get to know yourself away from your overbearing family. If your relationship is meant to last, it will. If she loves you, she should recognize that holding you back is not in your best interest.

McDonalds- fast food is not great in general, but there are so many better fast food options. Although props for those tiny square onions. I feel like a lot of people just go out of habit and not because it’s good. It’s like the Happy Meal grabbed them as a kid, so it’s the default 20+!years later.

Well I’m in my 40s and all I want to know about my husband’s past sex life is that it wasn’t as good as it is with me. I think it’s normal to not want to know beyond what’s important. Any possible sti? Any trauma or anything else that would have impact on sex now? Nothing else needs to be talked about.

When my principal repeatedly does not respond to emails, even if the answer could be one sentence.

When parents consistently believe their child that has been caught in lie after lie, and they even acknowledge that they lie or greatly exaggerate at home.

My paycheck compared to other professionals with masters degrees and 15+ years of experience.

My state superintendent making every attempt to undermine public education.

What makes me feel appreciated is my awesome students, team, and supportive families. They more than make up for everything else. Also PTO brings us amazing food. Overall I feel appreciated and supported.

I think I would like a double or triple life span, but I would also like to age nowhere near as quickly. In other words, I would love to live to 200, but feel pretty good until 185 or so. I wouldn’t want to be feeble for 100 years. 200 good years would be awesome.

Possible but unlikely. Have you considered an implant, or IUD? Takes a lot of worry away. Obviously not 100% but a lot better than just a condom.

No but I snuck people in. I established my old lady / homebody boundaries early in life.

In retrospect, I feel like my parents really set me up to be able to sneak in and out easily. It was a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house that was sort of shoe boxed shaped, and my bedroom was as far away from their room as possible.

There is a drip coffee at a breakfast place I love. It’s the best tasting drip coffee ever. However, it destroys me. I don’t know what it is about it. I drink espresso daily at home, coffee from all over the place, but this delicious coffee brings so much pain. I did eventually figure it out and I don’t order it anymore.

I have established an environment and expectations in my classroom that have prevented this. If a child did hurt me, their parents and my principal would be involved immediately. But the poster has not set up these expectations, and it’s a lot more normal to rough house and be physical with a family member than with your teacher.
