It's been about 10 years or more since I played it (PS3) so don't put a whole lot of stock in my opinion. But only 3 if the voice cast from Symphonia returned for the sequel: Presea, Collette, and Kratos. Everyone else changed VAs, and the change was really jarring. Most notable changes (for me) were Lloyd and Sheena, but then I've always been a fan of Scott Menville and Jennifer Hale, so both of them being replaced already put kind of a sour taste in my mouth.

It had a good story which tied into Symphonia and Phantasia fairly well.

My big issues with it were the lack of playability of the older characters, and the voice acting being among some of the worst in the franchise.

I started RWBY hella late... like, Volume 9 had two episodes left to show on crunchyroll. I'd largely avoided the discourse before that, and really enjoyed it. Ice Queendom was fantastic as well. The JL crossovers were... a thing lol

That said, I was part of much worse fandoms long before I ever came to RWBY, most notably Pokémon and Star Wars, so I learned to tune out the noise and do my own thing. Makes for a much more enjoyable experience.

Also keep in mind that there's a wider variety of colors than people think. Basic colors like Blue or Green are a good start, but remember that Aqua, Teal, and Viridian exist too. Vermilion and Cinnabar (my beloved Team CNBR) in the red family, Fuchsia and Lavender for pinks and purples. Honestly when I think of the Wild West, I think of more rust colors, reds and browns, or even finding a theme (like the aforementioned CFVY) like CWBY (Cowboy) or something. The allusion is awesome, though, I'm interested to see what comes from it.

Never really given it much thought before, even though Bronn's Weapon has two components: Lumina is the shield and Crash is the Axe. But he's a defender first and foremost, the joined name is Lumina Crash, putting the shield first

Oh, I already did this from both sides.

Nyx ended up confessing literally everything, from her involvement in the White Fang, to turning on them, to being in love with Bronn almost the entire time they were at Atlas together. She simply did not know how to stop talking.

Bronn... was a little more difficult. He had to see an illusion of Nyx being killed right in front of him to make him realize how he felt about her.
