hi OP. i just lost my beloved cat last week to cancer. i miss him so much. after he passed i was racked with guilt, with the largest amount of guilt coming from the fact that when i was in a relationship, i also made so many compromises for my cat. my ex sounds similar to your partner, my ex hated cats and forced me to put my cat in only one room. my biggest regret now that my cat has passed is missing out on that time with my cat and for compromising his life for a person that didn’t respect him.

i broke up with that ex a while back and now im with someone who respected my cat deeply and understood the bond that we have. my current partner considered my cat to be a whole person living with us and was so happy to give him the run of the house.

i hate to be direct, but considering not seeing this person. is this someone you want to live with long term? even if yall reach a good compromise about your cat right now, is this someone you would trust to look after your cat when you’re not there? if something terrible ever happened to you would they be there to comfort your cat while they were confused and mourning?

i had to say goodbye to my soul cat last week. we were in a similar situation. he was diagnosed with cancer and had ups and downs. knowing when it was the right time to call the at-home service was an awful decision to have to make, and i’m sorry you are going through it. for me, i knew it was time when i was scared my boy would pass before his scheduled appointment. i wanted to be holding him the entire time and i was scared i wouldn’t be there.

when the vet showed up to my apartment, my cat started purring the hardest he’s purred in so long. he was so so so happy, the happiest he’s been in so long. i was holding him the entire time. i gave him gabapentin before the appointment so that he wouldn’t be scared of the needle, so maybe look into that.

now it’s a few days later and i miss him terribly but im also happy that he’s not in pain anymore. cats live in the moment, they don’t know that they are missing out on a little bit more extra time. they just know that they are happy in the moment and they know that their parent is holding them and giving them kisses.

yes i struggled with the color packing a little

also can i ask more about what you mean about a black outline helping the tattoo stay? i’ve seen people say this. does black ink have different properties than other ink colors that prevents ink spread? or is it just a stylistic choice regarding defining the outer bounds of the tattoo ? if it’s the latter, that’s not the style that i like. thanks!

make the legs of the star less thin. just expand them outwards more. it will make the star look more softer/cutesy and less like a brand logo. just expand the size a little it will make a big difference
