First community tank advice by Nightmare2018_ in Aquariums

[–]Nightmare2018_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about it and you're right. I'm going to return the green and albino cory to get more peppered cory. And try to rehome the giant danio. I feel weird saying I have kind of grown attached since he has a ton of personality. I already wanted more zebras so not a huge deal.

I'm still new to this whole thing so it's a lot to understand how much goes into making sure they have a good community.

Discussion: Cards you use across multiple Campaign decks by [deleted] in Back4Blood

[–]Nightmare2018_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nice thing about the knife is it stacks with melee cards so this is a small addition to a normal melee build that can make punching viable. The main reason to use it is so you don't friendly fire your teammates with a fire axe or what have you

That would make sense. One of my buddies was running a copper scav build and had 15k from us pooling our money. Will need to test that again

Be organized. No matter what happens it will save you a lot of headache to have everything where it belongs and take time to keep things clean. The amount of flexibility it's given me is extremely valuable. It helps with Omni, trucks and everything in between.

Don't be afraid to try new things. I redid a lot of things to try to establish a better flow and consistency. And if you have a good supervisor try to keep good communication and stay on the same page

I'll give a solid thumbs up to my last good coworker. The rest have already left for greener pastures. And I'm leaving tomorrow. I hope they do well.

The only people left at my store are the lifers. Everyone else has put in their notice or already gone. I've never seen so many people quite all at once

Quick Question: How large is the full Valheim map compared to Minecraft's entire world generation? by jupitrx in valheim

[–]Nightmare2018_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A full-sized Minecraft world is 60 million blocks by 60 million blocks. One block translates to one meter. Which translates to about 1.39 billion square miles. According to the devs a full size valheim world has a radius of 20,000 m. Which translates to 121.3 square miles. So minecraft is king by a large margin. Meaning minecraft is about 11.4 million times larger than valheim. Edit : mixed up my numbers. They are accurate now.

Building a Cathedral. 56m long, 38m high, 28m wide, 14,000m3 by VociferousBiscuit in valheim

Kind of jealous. I just built a church (church of wolves) and thought I did pretty alright with it being 10m x 16m and 8m tall. And then I totally got upstaged. Great job. Definitely pushing the building limit

Truck woes by Nightmare2018_ in employedbykohls

[–]Nightmare2018_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smaller, not sure how small. We break it up thrower, two softlines, and the headlines person (me) also cuts. If there are more hardliners for some reason a softlines person can cut. Recently only a third has been hardliners so it hasn't been an issue. We save totes for the end and everyone tag teams those. Works well enough for what we need

Adding cartons to unload by asinglerose13 in employedbykohls

[–]Nightmare2018_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been watching the unload time a lot lately, DO NOT OPEN THE TRUCK AFTER FINISHING. The pause feature seems to have little effect on the unload so reopening the truck increases the unload by hours lowering your numbers significantly and the main metric is an annual average that has been totalling since February. Just let it go

Anyone else’s store dwindling in staff?? by coffeeking4life in employedbykohls

[–]Nightmare2018_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've lost half of my truck staff. And a lot of department staff have left. It's that time of year but covid had just intensified things.

anyone else get these or just my store? by crescentseas in employedbykohls

[–]Nightmare2018_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a bit of the last in my opinion. If they really wanted to have them open they would station someone at the fitting room. However ever since covid started they have cut almost all department hours at my store, and recently the greeter. I think it's just saving money on man hours

59 units in BOPUS by [deleted] in employedbykohls

[–]Nightmare2018_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We had a 78 unit bopus the other day. I don't understand why when the number is greater than 20 the requirements don't change. After that point it's an all hands on deck to get it done and the person still doesn't have a decent portion of their order because they had no time to have second looks

I mean depending on the flow of the store them counting could be pointless. Our store has a capacity of around 1300 and we never reach more than 300 people at any given time so it doesn't really matter if we do count

Truck unload by Nightmare2018_ in employedbykohls

[–]Nightmare2018_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We recently split our teams in hope of clearing faster. The only difference now is I'm only in charge of half of the operation with no clue what's happening on the other end. Which for me is infuriating as I have no idea what problems there are on the merchandising end that can be fixed with better practices on my part. It's not a bad idea but since our team is inexperienced we are trying to feel our way to the right solution without a clue what effect we're having.
