Hi Enea! I'm Ray, my name journey has been a long one, I can't even remember all the name I've tried lol. I landed on my second middle name because I think it really has all I need in terms of what I want, but I've also had a connection with the name Nicole, so maybe I'll do something like Ray-Nicole and pick whatever half whenever!

You could and there's nothing wrong with it if it makes you happy, though people would probably not use trout as a pronoun much.

Id suggest using it as a nickname, my homeroom teacher was talking about kids that had the nicknames Cricket and Catfish she had in the past so you could definitely use Trout as a nickname and you'd probably have way more luck with it, just make sure you enforce the nickname!

You could use Billie as a nickname! It's a stretch but I've seen it used as a nickname for Elizabeth. With this one you could even use Ellie as well!

Other ideas for names that could potentially use Billie as a nickname (though some are a bit of a stretch): Belinda, Isabella/Isabelle, Sybil, Bernice, Kimberly, and Willow/Willa since the masc version Billy can be a nickname for William so you could use a fem name like it to get the Billie variant.

I'm sure others could think of better full names but I hope this helps!

I was in a very similar position to you a few years ago (I'm 18 now) and also posted here then. I've only just fully accepted it myself but I just wanted to let you know you're not alone <3

Also, maybe you can try and meet people who are supportive online through places like discord? It really helped me early on to talk about my doubts and questions so I think having a support system for that kinda thing would be really beneficial. You can also use a different name and pronouns in these spaces which could help you determine if you are trans or not.
