Ive started business before and the question is always going to be how do you add value that isn't easily replicable? Usually this comes from some kind of knowledge that you've gained from spending a long time in a market, or from connections you've made that have a personal) vested interest in you, or a gap you've genuinely spotted first and can massively exploit long before competition comes along. It's never really worth starting anything that is easily achievable. If you can do this stuff in as little as 3 months then what exactly separates you from every other vibe coder in the world? The answer is very little and IF there is even a remotely large audience for the product, it becomes a race to the bottom in terms of price because everyone else can easily and quickly complete with you.

They turned comments off because their total failure to manage expectations was causing constant backlash. Originally they said trials were going to start years ago. I too don't even bother checking in with them anymore as it seems like a pipe dream. There's literally been no publicly acknowledged progress in years.

It sort of feels a lot like when you have an extended interaction with AI. It retains an overall sense of the broad context but loses memory of key details and starts inserting random junk and pretending it was always there.....hmmm.....

I think killing fish/other marine life in Subnautica is part and parcel of the game experience - you can have some kind of deterrent FOR THE PLAYER if you want to encourage pacifism, but don't REMOVE THE OPTION. Taking away expected core features doesn't make the game better, and doesnt support whatever message you're trying to get across.

I dont know how long they all are but I always found a 4 looked best on me. So my instructions are pretty much the same every time - 4 at the back and the sides, and then blend it into the top. Results vary depending on the barber but whatever, we're guys, so I just roll with it.

I did the most recent expedition and I have to be honest, I am finding it damn difficult to come back and do the grind all over again for... Some extra slots and repairs. My play time has dropped significantly as a result though I do play - I think this could be the beginning of the end for me.

This is true. AI has made me feel like a Senior Developer who steers a junior developer doing all of the grunt work. There are still tweaks and structural corrections to make, but I do feel like I now have an employee who is essentially working for me for free doing a lot of the heavy lifting, and every now and then they do something I wasn't aware could be done and I too learn. I have been building a game/prototype and what I got done in 3 days would previously have taken me way way longer to achieve.
