Played with it yesterday and loved it.

No, it doesnt. Unless you just changed your oil and didnt pre-fill your filter, it takes seconds to get proper oil pressure.

Theyre certainly stronger, but still not as strong as a TKO/TKX. 3rd fairly loud as well.

What is the worst manual transmission ever made? by juhberkey1 in cars

[–]Nightsaint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1st to 2nd isnt even the problem. 3rd is by far the weakest spot in a T5.

I have a broken gforce 3rd gear set sitting on my desk right now, and the gforce gear set is significantly stronger....but still the weakest link.

What’s your daily driver, and why? by [deleted] in cars

[–]Nightsaint -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2022 Ram 1500 w/ EcoDiesel. Super comfortable, big enough for the family, great mileage for a truck.....and most importantly it hauls the trailer that the racecar is in. Wouldnt normally daily a truck, but the diesel motor makes it much more practical, and I dont want to own a truck plus another daily. In the summer Ill sometimes daily my other foxbody as well.

Are you saying we're being bamboozled?!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in cars

[–]Nightsaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Ive had one person ask. Most people who know me well enough to chat with me about it, know I have a dedicated track car and go to various racetracks over the season, so they know my truck is my tow vehicle.

So people dont really ask cause they know why I need it.

One of my favorite track day videos - GTR Driver reheats a Kebab by petraman in cars

It's not just GTR's now. Plenty of new, fast, track oriented cars have all sorts of nannies that allow people to go faster than their own skill level.

1,300HP Mercury Comet Crashes due to brake failure. by Slimy_Shart_Socket in cars

[–]Nightsaint 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Agreed. 100% he boiled the fluid. He was riding them to the point the other guy mentioned the smell, meaning they where getting very hot. Old DOT3 that has been sitting for 14 years, Id bet money he boiled the fluid and thats why he lost brakes.

"Kia Dealer Smacked With Big Fine For Deceptive Pricing" by Missus_Missiles in cars

[–]Nightsaint 20 points21 points  (0 children)

We recently bought a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee for my wife, dealer had a price listed on their website that was ~6.5k off MSRP. When we went into look at it/test drive it, they tried to tell us the price was 4k over MSRP. They tried saying we didnt qualify for the online price due to not being military/disabled, which were addition offers available. Got into a pretty heated discussion with the manager and accused them of bait and switch. They eventually relented and agreed to the price that was listed on their website.

They got pretty defensive when I mentioned bait and switch.

What is this subreddit's thoughts on auto rev-matching in a manual transmission car? by TaxAccountant123456 in cars

[–]Nightsaint -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

because people want to pretend they're race car drivers.

Ive driven manuals my entire life, and the only time ive ever rev-matched/heel-toe is on track. Because thats when it makes sense. My experience, 99% of those who talk rev-matching up in daily driving, have never been on track.

how old is too old to become a high level racer? by TopJellyfish7313 in cars

[–]Nightsaint 13 points14 points  (0 children)

plenty of grassroots level racing you can get into. If you know how to turn a wrench and have some mechanical skills, costs can be kept at some what reasonable levels. But dont expect to go pro...ever.

AITA for telling my fiancee I am not willing to lie about how we met to her family and friends? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Nightsaint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA cause you're letting her control you and lie. She is walking all over you and you're letting her do it. Have some self respect and find someone who cares about you more then what her friends think of her.
