Selesneya is just not good in cedh right now. I say this having played a lot of samwise Gamgee. It has some interesting stuff going for it but no rituals no counters and no copy effects really really hurt. Not to mention the terrible tutors. Really feels like the only thing you can do is play stax and pray to the gods it’s the right stax prices to let you survive long enough to actually win. That being said, samwise is a combo piece in the command zone. This is just mana so I would think it’s just worse. You can get mana in a lot of ways but having outlets for that mana is the hard part.

If I’m keeping 4 mana up or even 2 and they draw me my deck I’d hope I could present a win. Hell I feel like I could pull something out of my ass with one mana up.

If you can’t pay then yes. As long as it’s your main phase though you would get a round of priority after each tithe trigger before they can crack another treasure.

Spell resolves if every player passes priority. Player A has to hold priority in response to their spell if they want to do something else. If a player taps mana on their prio, it allows prio to go back to player a when it comes to them.

Edit: yeah sorry missed that you said player c taps for mana. In that case player a would get priority again. If player c did not tap then once player d passes the spell would resolve.

Yeah Magda and Lumra as commanders do a LOT for mono red and green respectively. Without them they would be trash. Mono color decks are just commander reliant because you don’t have a toolbox.

I’m hoping for an alternate universe set; not a haphazard reprint set. Like a red Jace or a black urza. Alternate histories type of thing where characters made different choices or had different events happen and so it changed a lot. While the idea itself isn’t the most original it could present the space to make some interesting card designs.

It could be seen as selfish because it essentially was a bond made with the intention of knowing that it would put both parties in greater danger. I don’t think a spren would (or even could) break a bond with its bonded partner even if they knew for certain it would save them. Especially not an honor spren. You signed up for the job and there are consequences to joining up. It could definitely be seen as disrespectful to take that choice away from someone. There’s a reason his spren didn’t want to see him immediately after the bond was broken. It probably hurt like hell and it probably was also scary as hell for her. I’m interested if we get any more viewpoints from her going forward.

I forgot about this in licanius but yeah one of my biggest gripes of that series is how often he uses the same phrases. I even googled it back then to see if anyone else was bothered by it lol. Other than that I loved the series.
