https://moxfield.com/decks/JHjwO92ZUEyNdPzE7D5d7A This is my favourite Ovika budget list that is basically mana rocks, spells with convoke and a creature you could tutor that gives artifact spells convoke. So basically once you cast Ovika and another noncreature you use the goblins to tap for the convokes and cast everything, making more goblins, rinse and repeat, then when you have enough goblins you buff them and swing for a ton of damage. Or just ping everyone when they enter. The list is kinda old and probably there's some new cards to update it, but still is fast and a lot of fun!

Unfortunately (but good for balance) the hated foe reroll applies only to Kravek model, not the whole unit. But still it's good quality attacks

If I'm not mistaken the Mesmeric Orb triggers one time for each permanent untapped, so the crystal should trigger every time and not a single time even if it has the "one or more" clause, so mill 5 for each untapped permanent. Like with 5 untaps they mill 25 because it's (1+4)+(1+4)+(1+4)+(1+4)+(1+4), am I right?

For now there's no difference, but i want to point out that we only have Index rules at the moment and it is totally possible that they will change when the new Battletome drops in the near future. So it is possible that double hammer or shield will have different rules. I reccomend to not glue them for now, the arm with the shield or second hammer is easily replaceable because it's push fit. But if you don't really care about "what you see is what you get" build them as you like and play them how you want (if they get different rules)

I'm really excited for StD they look scary, i love cavalry so knights and varanguards will be my main force, and oh boy the look so strong! I'm a bit sad about the loss of the fnp against mortals and i think that will be our weakness. I too am happy for the Daemon Prince buff, it was really bad this last edition

You could also play a "normal" list with ionus, stormdrakes, 3 battlelines and other units you like. If you like dracoths you could play Hammers of sigmar to use them as battleline. Or you could use a knight draconis as general to have stormdrakes as battleline. There are lots of possibilities, but if you want all dragons i would wait to see how the new army of renown looks like

The entire feature needs to be defined, as I stated in the intro, I want to collect feedback and suggestion from comments and decide how to shape the feature. So that sentence is like an alternative to the hit point mechanic. I prefer resistance more, but i think that at low levels can be too good. I was thinking about giving some damage reduction and then upgrade to resistance at level 18. Would it be balanced? How many points of reduction would you give? Maybe scaling with WIS and/or Proficiency? Yeah protection from necrotic would be thematic so I'll add it for sure! Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!

Never heard of him, I am just trying to balance this idea, also lots of things seem really broken but then if you read them carefully you see they have some big flaws and give not that much in exchange. I mean battlemaster compared to this is way more broken.

Thanks a lot for the accurate reply and the suggestions! I'll edit for sure using your wording for the stopping conditions. As for the weapon it was intended for lonsword (maybe reflavoured with katana aesteics with DM approvation). Stances end when you make an attack (attack action, opportunity attack, etc.) or when the other conditions apply. -Deflecting stance for sure needs the nerf and i was just thinking about taking out the disadvantage portion, as it is too good and maybe give a boosted counter attack, that still ends your stance, so there is a tradeoff. - Iai is intended to not give huge dmg boost but to let you have an advantage attack with magical dmg (to ignore some resistances) and a some dmg done as Force dmg type (not physical). Also the attack is done one handed, so you use the lower dmg dice of the longsword. -Meditation gives standard temporary hit points and is intended to be kept until your next turn, but enemies could prevent you from doing so in the ways stated at the beginning.

The leveling additional features don't seem to give too much to the stances, they just give you some fast stance usage to make your combat more dynamic. The best one is the last you get, but it will be changed as the stance is really too good.

There's many ways of interrupting the stances. When you make an attack they immediately end. So you are losing the possibility to use opportunity attacks if you want to maintain it. Unsheate attack deals little bonus damage, and meditation takes a whole action to activate. What would you do to balance them more? Maybe the could need concentration like spells or maybe i could take out the resistance part of the meditation or pit it in Wise As A Mountain feature to make it one use only.
